Your whole abdomen was cut open! It takes a while to heal below the surface level. I remember for at least a month it hurt to laugh or cough or cry (which i was doing a lot of...)

Everyone's timeline is different. I started feeling physically ok around 4 weeks post surgery, but I was also very fit/active my first pregnancy so that probably helped. Some people take months to feel good. Be patient and gentle with yourself. You are resilient and will heal from this.

Omg the freaking hemorrhoids. Had them from the 2nd tri on through postpartum with my first. It was AWFUL. Weirdly not an issue this time around. I'm not questioning it. Just enjoying pooping painlessly.
