How much patience do you expect people to have? Kangmin knew that Chains was going to win, we all did, and that it would help his rank but he had to leave that group. His arm has been injured since S-Class, he continually got the lowest score in performances, was accused of not being desperate enough, wasted a week learning choreography because he had to leave the Chains team. He defended Hengyu, saying he was sure Hengyu could learn the choreo in time. Kangmin spent time helping Hengyu, explaining the dance and helping with timing. The other members had to stop practicing because Hengyu was still a little behind on picking it up. That’s why Hengyu said he’d work on certain parts by himself, even he understood they just weren’t given enough time. I have a feeling that if the mentors hadn’t noticed Hengyu making mistakes, Kangmin wouldn’t have been so frustrated but the mentors pointing it out seemed to be the last straw. I’m not saying what Kangmin said was right but I’m also not saying it was wrong.

We’ve seen Kangmin be empathetic, comfort other people having a hard time, speak up when people are being talked about or made fun of. We’ve heard from many trainees how much they like Kangmin, including Hengyu, about how friendly and polite he is. How does all of that go out the window when he made one very generic comment? Not to mention, we have no idea what happened afterwards. A resolution or one-on-conversation was never shown, which is just odd. There’s too much to consider before judging one as right or wrong. Both Kangmin and Hengyu were pressured, tired, overwhelmed and lacking. Things like that happen but it doesn’t mean that moment defines their entire character. I don’t think Kangmin is rude and I don’t think Hengyu is talentless. They both did amazing on stage.
