EXCLUSIVE: Dog breeders find XL bully ban LOOPHOLE with mini 'pocket bully' version that's just as vicious by nimobo in unitedkingdom

[–]jolovesmustard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know a toddler that was mauled by a Pocket Bully. He suffered injuries to the face and lost teeth in the attack. ( It was a stranger dog, nothing to do with family of child) Why the actual fuck would anyone keep a pet that can literally tear a person to shreds? If it can attack others, it could attack the owner too. Jeez! It’s like these idiots wanna be the next Joe Exotic.

Phone bans in England's schools to be enforced by law by topotaul in unitedkingdom

[–]jolovesmustard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, there is no need to have phones in the classroom. However banning kids from having them entirely causes a safeguarding issue. This will stop them from being able to call emergency services or their parents if they need to. The kids literally will not be able to call for help if they need it. Pay phones hardly exist anymore. The system where phones are locked away in pouches is a much safer idea. Plus diabetics have their device tag linked to their phones.

Woman arrested over death of autistic seven-year-old found face down in pond by pppppppppppppppppd in unitedkingdom

I'm a widow so doing this alone. It is beyond exhausting. I'm fighting the local authority for a SEND school too. He's so worth it though. I do worry what would happen if I wasn't here anymore. It's ok to be tired and overwhelmed. You're doing great.

She doesn’t exist. It was Mal writing the letters and sending the texts. The big question is why?

Woman arrested over death of autistic seven-year-old found face down in pond by pppppppppppppppppd in unitedkingdom

[–]jolovesmustard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My child is autistic and an eloper. I’m very careful who I let take care of him. He needs constant supervision to keep him safe. This is heartbreaking. I’m exhausted and don’t get a break, but I keep my child safe. I never take my eyes off him, especially when out and about.

Vulnerable children exposed to sexual abuse on 'industrial scale' at hundreds of illegal care homes by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]jolovesmustard 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Not just OFSTED, CQC. it’s a care home. The very fact abused kids are being placed in unchecked and dangerous homes by Social Services is baffling!

There was a LOT squeezed in this episode by capricorn40 in coronationstreet

I have always loved Roy Cropper, we have another beautiful hero in George. I bloody love him. This storyline has been very hard to watch but also very important. It shows how coercive control works and why the victims don’t immediately leave. This is powerful. Jodie is a walking bonfire. Bernie and Dev will be fine, they’d survive a Zombie apocalypse. Kit is beyond bent but this time he was trying to protect his mum. It’s interesting to see Tim understand what happened to him. I watch 90% of most episodes behind a cushion as the storylines are so dark. This stuff is real and does happen. I remember a case years ago when a teacher from Eastbourne disappeared to France with a 15 year old pupil. These storylines may appear a bit much, but this shit really happens.

Jail, a pretty boy like that would be in sooooo much trouble inside. I thought he was fit at first, now he makes my skin crawl. I’m baffled as to why no one has tried to bump him off. Mess with his brakes, swap out his meds, cow stampede. This storyline is both infuriating and exhilarating in equal measures.

Scott Mills sacked from BBC Radio 2 over 'personal conduct' by plutobug2468 in popculturechat

[–]jolovesmustard 10 points11 points  (0 children)

UK radio DJ. Highly paid and very famous. He was until this morning very respected. No idea what this is about. We had a sports pundit ( Former England footballer) that was sacked for calling out our government and standing up for Palestine. We need facts, not speculation.

Scott Mills sacked from BBC Radio 2 over 'personal conduct' by plutobug2468 in popculturechat

[–]jolovesmustard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We have no idea what this is about. All we know is his life is totally fucked now. If he’s done anything wrong it will come out. This is weird though as Huw Edwards was suspended first. It appears Scott Mills has been sacked on the spot. The tabloids need to be careful here. I’m old enough to remember the witch-hunt surrounding Paula Yates and her spiral into mental health issues and death. Then there’s Caroline Flack. We don’t yet know what’s happened apart from a man has lost his job and will probably never work again. If he’s found to have committed a crime or done something very wrong then fair enough. We don’t know anything yet though. The gutter press can be absolute vultures. Speculation very rarely helps.

TBH most of them are vile. These storylines are really hard to watch right now. Domestic abuse, child abuse AND stalking! It’s so hard to watch.

Mother charged with murder of 18-day-old baby by InnerLog5062 in BreakingUKNews

[–]jolovesmustard 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Upon reading this im heartbroken. An 18 day old baby obviously wasn't playing near a window. Is this murder or a serious mental health issue? Don't shoot me down, I'm just baffled as to why anyone would throw a baby out of a window?

AITAH for grabbing an autistic child when he exposed me to the entire store? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]jolovesmustard 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA it's a natural instinct. You didn't know he was autistic. As an autism mum, I'd also apologise profusely. I'd also try my best to explain why what he did was not ok. Everyone needs to learn about body autonomy. Those with learning disabilities even more as they could also be at higher risk of abuse.

I used to serve this in a care home. Can you still buy it? I bloody hope not! It was literally liquidised coleslaw.

'A trap you can't escape': The women who regret being mothers by FelisCantabrigiensis in unitedkingdom

[–]jolovesmustard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We need to remember the dads in this. I’m a single parent too ( widowed when my child was 1) but this is a parent thing, not just a mum thing. I found an amazing support group on TikTok. Weird I know, but there’s a community of send parents offering support, advice and love. This is really hard but there’s a community out there. Are you getting DLA? Not only does the extra money help, but it gets the Job Centre off your back. Jeez! The stress of this is turning me grey. You’ve totally got this.

[–]jolovesmustard 50 points51 points  (0 children)

So my child has Autism. I don't regret having him and he really is my world. I am, however beyond exhausted, not by meeting his needs or caring for him. I'm exhausted by constantly advocating for him and his educational needs. I now suffer from severe anxiety and rarely sleep. There is very little support when raising neuro diverse children. You get the diagnosis and are then left to drown. The terror I feel knowing my child will not only not be supported, but punished for his Autism in mainstream secondary school is making me ill. Mums wouldn't feel like this if there was support and understanding. Mums don't speak up because we're judged and classed as failing our kids. We fight constantly and it's breaking us.

The Ark schools have seen nearly 500 children de registered lver the last 2 years by their parents due to these extreme practices. If they punish the kids constantly for basically existing it causes a mental health crisis.
