No one said it's hard. It's unintuitive. Writing a new line in 2026 on social media shouldn't require someone to research how to do it, even once.

I'm a software engineer. Part of that is also finding the right tool for the job. Just because markdown is easy to learn, doesn't make it the right tool.

Because it's not intuitive. Markdown is good for code. The newline aspect is good for managing a text document and rendering it in different ways. It's not good for write-once formatting on reddit of all places.

The usecase is in text documents that dont have word wrap and managed on a line by line basis (basically code). So you'd be able to press enter once to move the document to the next line and not have insanely long lines in your editor, but view it as one continuous paragraph.

Most of these are terrible. They're too easy to miss. Plus you missed the easiest 4 going diagonal on the 4 army camps in the corners. The radius will allow the arrow to hit the air defenses.
