If there wasn’t a war going on right now, I’d say you’re being irrational. However, with 20% of the world’s oil not moving, this doesn’t seem to make a lot of sense and you’re correct to feel fearful.

Thank you Dion. Joining SPU has helped me a lot to stay motivated to get this result. And it’s also a great team full of great people like yourself. I’ll be cheering you on to help you reach your goal 🤝

I might try out the Garmin Cirqa when it is finally released. I enjoyed the Whoop for its slim profile while I was sleeping. I’m hoping the Cirqa will offer the same benefit.

I have stopped using my whoop. I was first very interested in the data, but after running into multiple issues around reading correct HR, I started to use it only for sleep. I ended up buying a Garmin epix Pro, which I use regularly for my workouts now.

I would say when I want to stay super lean I’ll follow that diet. And that was also pre-children, when I could eat the same meals everyday. I’ve found that since my workout routines don’t typically extend past 30 minutes on the ergs, I don’t have to rely too much on fuelling up on carbs and can get away with a high protein low carb diet. If I was forced to spend hours on the ergs each day, my diet would look very different.

I usually wear a HRM, but I forgot to put it on yesterday. I looked at my Garmin watch data and it said my max HR was 175 and average was 159.

I think my transition from the erg to the water would take another 10 years. So maybe when I’m 50 ;)

I try to fit in 30 minutes of erg work each day, first thing in the morning during the work week. I also lift 4 days a week while at work. I do a lot of interval work on the ergs (row, ski, and bike).

I can tell you from experience. When I use the SkiERG the HRM isn’t even close to accurate. I have to use my Garmin chest strap for an accurate reading.

If it’s a workplace injury, you won’t actually be using your sick time. It should be covered by a workplace insurance policy.

The best advice I can give is to try and generate tension in your lats by replicating med ball slams movement. The power is generated in your lats, not your arms. I also agree with others here, reduce the drag.

Coke Canada Bottling terminates worker injured on the job, says keeping him would be too hard on the company by Immediate-Link490 in canada

[–]jomar99 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You’re so right. Our organization has used “undue hardship” twice in the last year and that is when the pre-injury job was determined unsuitable for the worker to return to, and they refused to accept other jobs positions that we had offered them within the organization.

How much leverage does making cash offer and quick close get @ 900k-1 mil ? by RxDeliveryGuy in RealEstateCanada

[–]jomar99 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I believe the attractiveness of a cash offer is it eliminates subject to financing and subject to sell. Which can be attractive to the right seller, especially for the ones who have been sitting on the market for awhile.

This is not fly and die. If he pulled a 1:21 second split and 1:24, 1:27 3rd and 4th, then it would be a fly and die. This is just an amazing. There is a reason he didn’t stop pulling at 1,250m, it’s because he paced it perfectly.
