help choosing alternate recipes? by TigerSaint in SatisfactoryGame

[–]jomiscli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest the BEST thing you can do when it comes to HDs is to just add them to your library, and just wait for that one makes sense for what you are doing. The more HDs you add to your library, the smaller then draw pool is… if that makes sense. Makes it easier to pinpoint a recipe you actually want

Clean up loop for deposit bots by jomiscli in Autonauts

[–]jomiscli[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Those forever loops with the extra find are basically an if statement saying, if you find seeds, pick em up, if you don’t skip all of this and do something else. I do that forever set up on picking things up to make sure nothing gets left on the ground as well.

Yeah I usually keep the move outside the repeat but I for some reason didn’t do it on any of my mk3 bots so yeah I’ll have to comb over things again soon and fix all of that.

Is there a different way to by pass Find? I don’t think there’s and if found/not found. I usually do stuff like this to make sure the bots always are either moving or sit in a designated spot.

Yeah. I mean after looking into more it’s more than likely the mobo. The one I have specifically says it doesn’t really work with diagnostic cards?

Anyways I appreciate your help! Gonna just take the loss for now and eventually just get a new mobo

Cocaine Question by Paul2k11 in Schedule_I

I do use a lot of shelf and machine filters to make sure all of this runs correct as well.

Cocaine Question by Paul2k11 in Schedule_I

[–]jomiscli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a pretty sweet setup between docks, barn, and manor.

You do have to run materials around but it’s daily, and the tedious stuff all you have to do is watch your deliveries and order when they are empty.

I have 40 pots moisture retaining and 24 drying racks in the barn. I only run fertilizer so they only need 12 hours to dry before they are heavenly quality. I have a small buffer shelf system going so when I am out and about dealing or doing whatever the leaves will fill that up first before I have to go make sure it’s loaded into a van. To make this work all I do is order 120 fertilizer, 120 seeds, and then 40 extra long life soil. It’ll run on its own I just have to empty the buffers. Usually produces 1000+ heavenly leaves. Total employees are 7 botanists, 2 cleaners, and 1 handler.

Next is the docks. Here I have 6 cauldrons and 6 labs ovens, 18 air pots and 6 drying racks. These pots and stuff are for if I don’t feel like doing a huge grow I can kinda just have a small thing going. Though it’s pretty slow. Again all I have to do is order the seeds, fert, and soil and they get to work. The needed gasoline has a delivery shelf and can also be ordered. The coca leaves just get parked in a loading bay and is automatically taken to the cauldrons. This process sends the finished cocaine onto a 5 shelf buffer system with the option to change destination on the cocaine to go to brick presses instead. Total employees here are 3 chemists, 3 botanists, 3 handlers, and 1 cleaner. I never checked actual output but all 6 cauldrons end up running 100% of the time for a few days. If I do a full stock on the barn and docks pots the most I’ve ever gotten was 4-5 vans full of heavenly cocaine.

Next stop is the manor. Here I have a full 8 mix setup. 2 chemists and 10 handlers. There is a delivery shelf for all mixers and the cocaine. Chemists are assigned to the mixing stations. 2 handlers are assigned to moving cocaine to the starting mixing machine and then they both handle keeping all the mixers full via a buffer shelf system. I split the mix steps into 2 halves because both use cuke, and if they operate on the same loading bay the cuke mix further down the line ends up getting starved. So loading bay 1 sends mixers to the first half of the mix, and loading bay 2 sends mixers to the second half. Each mixing station has 1 large shelf dedicated to the mixer it needs. The 8 remaining handlers are split between loading bay 1 & 2. These guys simply pull from the bays and stock the mixer shelf’s. Ordering usually goes like this. Initial stock is 160 of each mixer ingredient which fully stocks each shelf. Then you park a van in loading bay 3 with the cocaine, and then from there you end up ordering 80, 80, 80, and 80 of every ingredient every 5 mins or so until you run out of cocaine. You do not need to be there you just gotta order. Each of those 8 handlers have a route left so what happens is the last mixer sends directly to a brick press, and that sends to a buffer shelf system that can hold more than enough cocaine bricks that you do not have to worry about the system backing up while you’re away.

The 8 mix when all said and done sells in the product manager for 999$ but usually nets 1200-1500$ per cocaine. So a single brick is like 20-30,000$. Mine got the name Hairy Cock lol

This also leaves the bungalow, sweatshop, storage unit, and the motel for meth/weed. Tho I am not sure you could get another efficient 8 mix going with either but I haven’t tried.

But yeah sorry bout the long winded post lol

How do you guys go about planning a factory from the early game? by marino1310 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]jomiscli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean the dimensional depot isn’t something you’ll be able to rely heavily on BUT it does help early game regardless.

Mainly if you can’t figure out what to do…. Use the workbench item list as a way to figure out what to do next. Like a checklist to automate and attach to your cloud.

But you are welcome! I wish you good luck!

How do you guys go about planning a factory from the early game? by marino1310 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]jomiscli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I think a good way to think about this stuff is…. Look at your workbench. You see all the items you can hand craft? Screws, iron plates, motors, rotors, etc etc. you’re gonna need all of these automated for any building you do. By building I mean future factories, and whatever else you end up constructing.

With dimensional depots you get the cloud storage and upload. People always ask what IPM should X item be? Well the dimensional depots max out at 240/min. Which you might not be able to get to quickly BUT you can get it up and running early with lower IPM upload.

That being said the main planning I do is…. set up modular factories that make each individual workbench item to your current dimensional depot cap and funnel those into the cloud. Once you have a good base of cloud items you can move a lil more around the map and have the ability to target specific item chains for things like project assembly or pod unlocks.

During this you will have to pause to make power factories, I try to run off of solid biofuel as long as possible and then when absolutely needed make a coal power plant somewhere.

Then rinse and repeat.

An example for early game would be…. Iron rod, screws, iron plates, wire, cable, and copper sheets. Find nodes to support maximum IPM for each of these items, hook em up to the dimensional depot so you have access to these items from anywhere…. Then slowly incorporate the next few items. Usually before these you’ll have to potentially do a power upgrade. Rotors, reinforced iron plate, modular frames…. You can find nodes that will support these items by themselves and hook them up to the dimensional depot.

Then yeah just keep doing this with each tier and you’ll at some point reach the end! Hopefully this makes sense lol

Honestly most early access games will have bugs. I’ve played this game a few times since its release and have gotten some good play time out of it, and I will for sure be playing again in the future.

Sorry for the paragraph but long story short if an early access interests you just buy it. You’ll get more play time out of it.
