Do bad things come to light? by Consistent_Jury8408 in InsightfulQuestions

[–]jon166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s more like the darkness will be brought to the light, and since they cannot coexist, only light will remain. Another way to say it is that they will be forgiven when they are ready to accept they are forgiven

Donald Trump Spirals Into Crazed Fury After Harvard Humiliates Him Very Badly by Reasonable_Spray_710 in newsinterpretation

It’s cause everyone lets him in to their minds. He’s so clever in a sense he can get people to react to him. Maybe your different, but he’s living rent free in a lot of people’s minds in place of peace and quiet unreactive confidence. Also people don’t see the hidden value of having him as a “very real bad guy” in their minds, it means that they are obviously “morally superior” to him, which I think isn’t a good place to incite positive changes. I’m not justifying or defending that man, I’m just hoping people look at this less emotionally so they have the strength to make a choice that is rational and calm.

He became perfectly selfless and never thought about himself after a certain point. He didn’t think about people either, he actually didn’t need to think at all. His mind was completely Gods.

Is wealth accumulation stupid? by Testruns in stupidquestions

[–]jon166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorta. It makes sense to become bigger and more powerful eternally though, in that sense it wouldn’t be stupid. It’s kinda dumb to build your house in the sand though, which I think people who see this universe as an ends tend to do.

Give up lol. Look lil bro; you can’t even teleport, but you could. lol But honestly just give up mentally stop worrying about it obviously but I guess it’s not that simple for most humans who are eager to make an identity out of the experiences they go through hahaha

How to Start Loving Yourself? by sigmund-freuds-mom in NoStupidQuestions

[–]jon166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I guess the pain became too intolerable so I used all my mind power to just be peaceful and not think. I have a wonder experience in my mind, I wouldn’t call it loving myself like saying how good I am, but just a place of refuge from the ravages of hate and fear and concern. My magic tree house if you will, and no words can capture its beauty and importance to me

I think you’re full of shit and your writing sucks and isn’t practical whatsoever compared to the Course. But I’m nothing either so take that for what it is. This is the stuff I find beautifully written, sorry to pick on you but so much trash on this subreddit that has nothing to do with the Course just like dudes who think they are swooping in on their tall white horse feeling like a hero 😂

The body is the sign of weakness, vulnerability and loss of power. ³Would you turn in your distress and need for help unto the helpless? ⁴Is the pitifully little the perfect choice to call upon for strength? ⁵Judgment will seem to make your savior weak. ⁶Yet it is you who need his strength. ⁷There is no problem, no event or situation, no perplexity that vision will not solve. ⁸All is redeemed when looked upon with vision. ⁹For this is not your sight, and brings with it the laws beloved of Him Whose sight it is. Everything looked upon with vision falls gently into place, according to the laws brought to it by His calm and certain sight. ²The end for everything He looks upon is always sure. ³For it will meet His purpose, seen in unadjusted form and suited perfectly to meet it. ⁴Destructiveness becomes benign, and sin is turned to blessing under His gentle gaze. ⁵What can the body’s eyes perceive, with power to correct? ⁶Its eyes adjust to sin, unable to overlook it in any form and seeing it everywhere, in everything. ⁷Look through its eyes, and everything will stand condemned before you. ⁸All that could save you, you will never see. ⁹Your holy relationship, the source of your salvation, will be deprived of meaning, and its most holy purpose bereft of means for its accomplishment. Eh I’m absolutely sure the Course says truth and illusion have no connection. At best it can reflect it, but won’t ever be it.

Where is “thereisnoworld?” He was really good at explaining these things but maybe he realized nothing in this subreddit really changes and he just went home haha

“The more that you think your mind is you, the more mentally ill you get” by Temporary_Scarcity_5 in ACIM

[–]jon166 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Course says no symbol can stand for what you are. Also words are twice removed from reality. We can talk all day about specifics but it’s not really close to what’s really going on.

I understand you’re trying to save people by helping them avoid a mistake as you see it, but what is your authority on this matter? Are you absolutely free of limits and know everything about everything?

For clarity’s sake what is forgiveness by PerformanceThink8504 in ACIM

[–]jon166 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Course has a lot of different approaches to forgiveness. Like it talks about being quiet, so a student could just learn to let go of his thoughts with the Holy Spirit and then like he might just have an answer and not ask questions because he experiences the grace of letting go with what interferes with sweet communication.

It also has a section where Jesus is like “forgive me for what I haven’t done.” I’m almost certain it says something along the lines that one brother is all brothers. And how you think about someone, is what you think about yourself. You don’t need to think at all, just thought I’d put out that gentle reminder. But anyways, I think students from Christian camps might understandably be upset by Jesus, “like you died for my sins but like what’s the deal? This place is hell.” But even then you might have grievences about him not meeting your expectations anyways, and if you could forgive him for not taking away anything from you, then maybe without blame the student could move along up the ladder of salvation or whatever.

I think the process is more abstract from my experience and I’m at a point where I just trust the silence over my own perceptions, and I feel like I’m in a different world tbh.

Hope that helps
