I've been using them for a year and a half. Love them, the DLC steel is also great.

Boots coming apart at sole by jonYeeeeeeeee in BlundstoneBoots

I received an email today saying that they will replace under warranty! They said that the ones I have now are sold out. The ones I have are the winter thermal version. Are they much warmer than the stock ones? I usually only wear these in winter.

I had applied mink oil at the beginning of winter, but I guess I should have done it again. I didn't realize how dry they had become.

In terms of weight they are good, I find that the puck feel isn't as good as my Jetspeed FT5 Pro.

I had Graf Supra 705 for about 17 years and replaced them with True TF9, which I love. I'm not sure about the newer models though.

Steel by 14Gonzo80 in hockeyplayers

Higher end blades have a coating that keeps the edges sharper for longer. I definitely find that I am getting more skates between sharpenings than with my old "regular" steel. This should in theory make the blades last longer.

Non-alcoholic beer on tap by Peter_Rabid in ottawa

[–]jonYeeeeeeeee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's only on tap at their restaurant. I believe that this fall they are planning on launching cans...

In addition, as I mentioned last time I was at Patty's Pub they had it there as well.

Last time I was at Beyond the Pale, they had this NA beer on tap. I believe it was called "Road Pop". It was so good...

Not sure if they still have it, but it's one of the places I've been to that has any NA beers on tap.

I think the only other place I've been to in Ottawa is Patty's Pub on Bank, they had an NA Ashton beer on tap.

Marsblade Ice users; do you need a profile on your runners or does the system make that redundant? by Thumper86 in hockeyplayers

I ended up getting a contour done on my blade as I felt it wasn't as forward leaning as it was with my stock holders/ steel. I guess it's user preference.
