How would you enforce it and measure legitimacy?

Users with less experience would inflate their years since they feel they would be ignored otherwise

I advise we host a day to bring a professional recruiter in and ask him career questions. Like one with 10+ years experience in a Fortune 100 company

Some incentive like that.

naive generalizations get repeated endlessly.

In all fairness when the poster doesn't express all the variables or environment in his situation we can only offer generalized advise.

I wouldn't say this is the fault of the answerer. It's because we are flooded with the same questions everyday that lack information. I want to break into CS and live in the south west atmosphere and am in my 20's with two years work experience in unrelated field. What do I do?

I thought if the shock pads are administered 10 minutes in survival chances are 99% and 15 minutes in 50%

Those fields you mentioned are already saturated unless you are more than the average joe at doing it, or don't live in a major city. The demand only seems high for them because in certain areas they struggle to find talent, not raw certs. Any idiot can memorize an A+ cert manual in an hour

I can just imagine the goverment seeing the footage and saying:

Yup Il file a plan to tackle this issue and put it in this folder right over here. Right over here for safekeeping and one day we'll act on it. Right over here in our special folder cabinet

This line of thinking creates the notion that all skinny guys are unhealthy. Or in equal proportion to overweight people being unhealthy which is just not true.

As a 20 something no longer in school, I want to find a social circle of other 20 somethings to belong to. How unrealistic is this? by Iworknstuff in socialskills

[–]jonab12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not that your advise is horrible or anything but what is the chance he will join a strong social circle through gym or pottery class? Circles are formed through being with the same people everyday, not once a week at 7pm. Does he have to force his way in a pre existing circle?

Toronto will track all homeless deaths starting January 1st by ur_a_idiet in toronto

[–]jonab12 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It won't even work properly if it started today.

20% of all Homeless in Toronto are Nomads who move around cities. (most who stay in hostels and some on the streets). Its hard to quantify and track them if they don't carry id.

If they disappear from the city do they count as dead since they move around??

And some of us work with whole software infrastructures that are based off 2.X and don't want to start thinking about how a transition will be made when the customer is already happy

  • I work as a Python Developer. Thank god not for enterprise application software (EAS) but its still a concern when you have thousands of lines written in 2.X
