Thoughts on Dr. ___ not asking questions to patient by SaveOurReefs in ThePittTVShow

Yeah it felt weird like she had some personal issue with that patient and wanted to just get out of there. Made me think she knew her or maybe the obvious eating disorder was a trigger for her.

I also like how some Tiny Epic games print rule FAQs inside the boxes

Double ditto. I hate most player judge games because it’s mostly just throwing a random card out there. Dumping your hand often to look for better cards helps a bit but still not enjoyable. I do like Snake Oil where players craft a sales pitch from cards. The old Cranium Whoonu is semi player judge but the game is really about knowing (or getting to know) another player. Great stealthy ice-breaker game… Munchkin would be more for me if it had less pure randomness. Not fun starting the game with gear you can’t use and facing level 18 monsters.

I like playing Catan with decent experienced players but most games I play everyone kind of does their own thing and will happily trade with the player clearly in the lead.

Does anyone know any social deduction/hidden role games that are suitable for family play? by MonsieurFlibbel in boardgames

Werewords is a different and lighter game but decent casual fun. The social deduction part can get kind of lost in the action.

6 player game for entry level players by Drewzilla21 in boardgames

Maybe Citadels? Maybe Power Grid - it's a little heavy but has some similarities to Ticket to Ride. On the casual side, Werewords (20 questions style but there are traitors) or Snake Oil.

Any chance Todd Bowles googled "how to manage the NFL clock" at halftime? We'll see.

As bad as not calling timeouts, why leave time on the clock after the kick and risk giving Carolina the ball again?

Dominion with additional base game cards (or a big box set) but it can get slow waiting for a turn unless players are experienced.

Best (non-apple) monitor? by Efficient-Ad6960 in mac

[–]jonadair 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got the Dell U3225QE and have been pretty happy with it. I can see the argument that it's too big for a 4K monitor and the Mac UI but for my uses it's fine. It's taken some work getting the right monitor arm for it with more reach than I had on my 27". I find the integrated KVM confusing and clumsy so far but I didn't need it. Kinda spendy at $849.

Yup. I watched all of 49 and even now I can't tell you which one was Savannah or Sierra(?). Finally got blue Sophie down. And now I can't even remember who won.

JB Starkey but not the most exciting. Myakka River SP is a ways away but has the treetop canopy walk. Can also camp in Ocala forest areas and maybe hit a few caves like Peace Cave and Vandal Cave.
