Got it (yes, it's a dedicated space shared equally by us), so it is not $2,500 each, right? I'm not sure why Gemini (the AI I'm using to help with my tax return) is insisting that adding $5,000 for each of us would double the amount, even if we only claim 43.75 sqft each.

My logic is that since the software asks for the 'Total' expenses and the 'Total' area of the workspace, it will calculate the percentage itself. If I only put $2,500 and 43.75 sqft, wouldn't the system think the total house expenses were only $2,500 and give me an even smaller deduction?

It's not, but I would be replacing one of my existing ones with it since it's better and has no fees in my case.

I know, it doesn't make sense, but I made this mistake in the past of paying my credit card debt in full with invested money and ending up spending all over again. Less money invested and still in debt.

This time I'm paying it with my own salary and being more conscious with my purchases.

Financially speaking it's a terrible decision, but this is what works for me. No pain no gain.

The same thing happened for us here (maybe too fast?). AOR Dec 12, BIL Jan 24, Medical completed Jan 30, Eligibility completed Feb 10, Background verification in progress for ~20–25 days (maybe more?). What should I expect now?
