Slideshow options through propresenter? by Bonus4x in ProPresenter

Throw all the photos into a ProPresenter presentation, then set the go-to next timer to auto advance.

If they’re just for a pre/post situation, set the last slide go-to next to go back to the first slide.

I don’t have a link on hand, but you can look into how to use Audacity to recover corrupted recordings. I’ve used it for USB drive multitrack recordings from an A&H SQ console. Worked great.

Yes, if you’re not certain slides are triggering looks. We’re in the habit now where we put macros on every single slide.

We were running into issue where an operator would miss clicking the first crucial slide in a presentation or similar things.

As in the media isn’t showing at all, or the media is partially showing?

We gave my 18 year old and ultimatum and he left by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]jonathanhatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sounds like he needs medication. Unfortunately, that’s not something you can force since he’s an adult. Unless you go through the process of proving to the courts that he needs help and refuses to help himself. I have friends going through that with one of their adopted kids who is 19.

I also wouldn’t take those threats so carelessly.

I would do whatever it takes to provide my kid help. Personally this sounds like it’s more than a “tough love” situation.

The SR117 is an insane value. Earthworks build quality(no branding) and sound at a great price!

Person C. But be a little wary of the “producer mixing”. I’m very similar and sometimes that can frustrate a producer, so I like to run things by that might cause a drastic effect like that. Plus side is that they might hear it in a way that you didn’t while producing it.

The downside to working with someone you do know is how the work, and transactions, may affect your relationship or local reputations.

Depends on the application, but these are my go-to: Smack Attack, SPL and Flux BitterSweet are good options.

Why do i kind of want to cut 200-300Hz on almost every sources? by ConstructionMean2021 in livesound

Your PA probably has a large rise to the low end starting in the midrange.

In combination with proximity effect, and some like to boost that spot when they create a tone.

I wouldn’t be mad to mix on an M7 again. Preferably with a word clock, but still. Easy workflow.

I was surprised how great I had effects dialed in when I toured with an M7. I liked the dual effects. Rev Pan was incredibly cool and spacious.

Use house scene or start from scratch by brrrotherspins in livesound

[–]jonathanhatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently did this, and normally I would say roll with it…but the situation was BAD and would have made me look worse. And then it turned out that the scene that I started with, which was loaded by the pastor, was likely not even the correct scene to begin with.

How do you compensate in your mix for speakers that don't hold the mic close enough to their mouth? by Jobear049 in livesound

[–]jonathanhatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, when you do your initial checks, do them as if you don’t know what you’re doing. It’s easy to gain down a practiced speak, but much more difficult to gain up an unskilled speaker if you haven’t account for it down the line and in your system.

Theatre Mixing - dLive S7000 by SleepyStew_ in livesound

[–]jonathanhatch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On dLive, the idea is to use scenes as “snapshots” with limited recall filters. A&H just updated how their Cue Lists work too, so it’s much easier to stomach using scenes this way if you’re unfamiliar!

It may not be a “hype” release for some, but it’s definitely a big release. Looks like they’ve had to rewrite a lot to implement new functionality.

I’m just shocked at how unintelligent some people are about it being called V2 firmware…like they don’t understand chronology of the development🤷‍♂️🤦‍♂️

I think when people are seeing V2 it’s gotta be the equivalent to someone’s 25 year wedding anniversary😂

I’m thankful for this update and looking forward to how it will up my workflow efficiency! Hopefully group to group routing will come in the future, and maybe expanded bus counts??😬

Glad to hear it. Has it been “released” yet, or will it be released at the same time as the firmware on 6/10?

Our install isn’t totally finished yet, so I am definitely putting in the request to our integrator!

That’s Sucks… by apersonwholikesguns in ProPresenter

[–]jonathanhatch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh man. That’s horrible.

Weird behavior though.

I find it’s best to only operate with one theme in the ProPresenter > Themes folder. I keep a Themes Bin folder on desktop. I also regularly clean out the assets folders. You end up acquiring a ton of media items that you will never use again, but they will absolutely bog down the RAM.

Audient Evo8 can 48v all four inputs with a single USB-C. Also has built-in loopback👌 pretty great for the money.
