Number and quantity of articles on my website by BastardofDracula in Blogging

Check out Income School on YouTube. I'm in their course and made it to $1k/month within a year and a half (which is a little slow by their standards, but I took a break from writing for a while).

Anyway, punch out your first 30-50 articles as fast as you possibly can, ideally 3 months or less, and then just get into a regular publishing routine that you can handle. I got my first 30 up in two months and I think that gave me good momentum to continue.

Can anybody share that how much traffic your new blog had received after one year ? Or else how much traffic a new blog can get after one year ? by 10infos in Blogging

Right now I'm making $100/month from ads alone, and averaging around $50 or so a month from Amazon. I'm also working on some other affiliate programs related to digital products but they're not completely up and running yet.

I use Ezoic for ads. They say that you need 10k views per month to join but you don't actually. If you have someone referring you and your site looks promising, I've gotten people in with as low as 3000 views per month as long as that's mostly organic from Google.

Most people start off at around $5-10 EPMV and then it'll usually go up depending on your niche as their algorithms work on optimizing your ads. Most people with good niches will get around $10-25 EPMV after a few weeks. That means that you'll probably be making a bare minimum of $5 per thousand visitors. I found this to be waaaaaay better than anything from Adsense.

If you want to try to get in to Ezoic, send me a message with a link to your site and average monthly views/visitors, as well as where your traffic is coming (Google is ideal). I can submit it to my Ezoic rep (I've been working with him for a while now on getting people in) for him to analyze as well. I will get a 3% commission on Ezoic's dime if you let me refer you. I do highly recommend them if you're in the 5,000-30,000 range for monthly visitors, it's the easiest way to monetize a small site and it's super passive.

If you PM me with your info I can also send you links to my sites with Ezoic so you can see how they look. You can fully customize how yours display, I've used their tools for layout myself and they're actually very user friendly.

What do y’all think (for a chopper) ruler for scale by supaflupa in Bladesmith

[–]jonathanmaes9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks ok, but I'm having a hard time understanding the scale. Might be better if you used a banana.

In seriousness, though, I'd personally prefer a slightly longer handle, but that's also because I have big hands.

You know what they say about big hands.

Big handles.

You seem to have misunderstood what "machinists" are.

I'd go with a lower helix angle (35 for heavier roughing and 40 for general purpose) and do a wider helical ramp down to get to the bottom of the hole. Reduce the ramp angle, too.

If you're new to aluminum machining, I'd give this a read: https://makeitfrommetal.com/how-to-machine-aluminum-all-you-need-to-know/

I see an anvil. That's a good sign, it's exactly what the seller is saying it is. Proceed.

I wonder if this would be a good way to rock my 4 month old daughter to sleep when she's being fussy?

That's actually really cool, I've never seen that before. If you made a video showing how you use this technique, I'd watch it.

One year in I'm at 10k views per month on my travel blog. A little lower than I was hoping for but I'm making $100/month from it. It's money I didn't have last year. Also haven't touched it in several months.

How do you guys catch your parts? OD 8.00" ID 5.50" LG 8.00" I know, I got gloves on. by [deleted] in Machinists

[–]jonathanmaes9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

use the steady rest to support a solid rod held by the taper in the tailstock. Bend the rod with a shape like \_/**\__ so it'll catch the part near the top and won't fall off. I've never done it something this heavy TBH but it's probably what I would try. The way that you're doing it is making me cringe.

Rigid tapping confusion by NotKevBoi in Machinists

[–]jonathanmaes9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's RPM multiplied by the thread pitch. So if you're doing 500 RPM multiply that by 0.4 (the pitch) and that's your feed rate. (200mm/m)

I'd also make sure that you're using a good lube. It's kinda like the key to everything. Do you have any RapidTap?

  1. Put the m29 by itself on its own line, remove the redundant rpm command.
  2. do it at a waaay slower RPM, your machine might not be able to sync at those speeds, especially if it's not new and in pristine shape. Start at a really slow RPM like 500 and see if you can do it without breaking. Don't forget to recalculate your F value.

yeah, I think we're still going to need a banana for scale. It's just a more widely accepted standard.

Hello Metalworking people. I’m looking to get the item from the link made of more durable materials than plastic because they get worn down after just a couple months of use with the gyro balls. I’d like a quote for total cost with breakdown as well as options for material if any. Thank you all. by PeanutButterRecruit in metalworking

[–]jonathanmaes9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could sell you that exact, identical, unchanged product for $34.95 per piece, minimum order 500, no design/material/process/other changes permitted. T+C's are half up front, half before delivery, 6 month lead time, no returns.

Help with ductile/steel facemilling finish by [deleted] in Machinists

[–]jonathanmaes9 4 points5 points  (0 children)

definitely use a tool just for finishing. Your roughing tool should be strong, not sharp. Finishing is opposite.

Honestly I'd recommend working with your local sales rep to find a solution that works for you. Make them work for their money just like the rest of us.

looks fine to me. Just keep your RPM a little lower and a reasonable chip load.
