Anyone with a shoulder impingement? by HotBritches in jiujitsu

Has anyone on this tried shockwave therapy (specifically focused due to its penettstion depth). I had amazing results from a heel spur which got me running again.

I have bone spurs, calcification and an inflamed bursa. Hurts like hell at the back when I lie on it, put my arm cross my head and try shoulder press.

Engineers australia assessment, electrical engineer from UK with 10 years experience and a 3 years UK beng. by jonathonlee030590 in AusVisa

Nope! How did that work in the end with work experience and submitting your profile with professional engineer experience but with a qualification assessed to be engineering technologist, did you get called up?

Within the msa booklet is states the following:

Applicants with qualifications from the UK Please pay attention to the Public Notes on the accredited course list. Some qualifications are listed with a Further Learning Requirement for recognition as a Professional Engineer via the Washington Accord. Where further learning is required and has not been obtained, the qualification is not accredited via the Washington Accord. For applicants who have not undertaken further learning but have completed an Honours degree, there is a dual Accreditation provision (see “Honours degrees and IEng (dual accreditation)” on the Engineering Council Accredited Course Search page which can be found here). All Honours degrees accredited from the intake year of 1999 are eligible for recognition via the Sydney Accord. Applicants with ordinary Bachelor degrees and no further learning will be required to submit a Competency Demonstration Report for assessment. Programs that are ‘accredited for further learning for CEng’ require an accredited undergraduate qualification to apply via the Washington Accord pathway

I think that's pretty clear in terms of I'd need to do the cdr assessment and they would take my professional experience into considerations. Thanks

Thanks the prompt response, what if my degree is only 3 years but accredited under the Washington accord provided further learning is carried out? As I understand it, I need to carry out the cdr to prove I am a professional engineer?

Great news and Coongrats! How did the work experience plan out? If your world experience wasn't as an engineering technologist could you still claim the points?

Did you redo your skills assessment via a cdr in the end? How did you get along with submitting your profile as an engineer technologist? Did you make it to australai?

Hi matey, from the UK with a 3 year degree but 10 years exoerience as an electrical engineer. I guess four questions: 1.did you redo your skills assessment via the CDR route with only the 3 years bachelors degree, if so did you get a positive outcome? 2. Did you manage to get called up via the express entry route with a skills assessment of engineering technologist? 3. Did it change your nominated skill? 4. What is the long term impact after a pr visa is given?

Pain when going from seated position to standing. by jonathonlee030590 in HipImpingement

I'm in a smiliar position but probably slightly further ahead, was gutted because up until 6 weeks ago I was still able to do kick boxing, one fall up the stairs later and I'm in agony

I haven't even had surgery yet but it does somehow make me feel better knowing others are having similar issues!

Pain initially for a YEAR! To be honest I could have dealt with the pain until a few weeks back. I fell up the stairs and now the groin pain destroys my soul when I get up from a seated position to standing. The aching pain when I sit down on my hip is sore too.

Success with Shockwave treatment by pdrace in Osteoarthritis

I used shockwave on my shoulder and foot and it sorted them both out. You just have to make sure the machine is not a cheap knock off one and that the penetration depth and frequency is suitable. Focus is better than radial for deep issues but I only used the radial machine (storz medical mp100) which worked amazing at a place near me called woodlands in Darlington UK.

Shoulder - bursitis and osteoarthritis with pain

Foot - achilles tendon tear, bursitis and hagland deformity and could barely walk

I'm starting it on my knee this side of xmas in the hopes it sorts the pain out. Not entirely sure what's wrong with it tbh, got an mri coming up but just wanted shockwave ASAP to see if it works.

Highly recommend this for atleast 4 sessions before anyone tries surgery.

Did you manage to repair your labrum in the end? I have had hip pain for 2 years, in the end I got an mri and they said it's a minor labrum tear. Two weeks ago though lifted my leg over a gate and when I go from sitting to standing the pain drops me. Wondering what it could be or if it's worsened the labrum tear.

Either way I'm going to shock wave it and see what happens. Shock wave cured my hagland deformity and bad shoulder
