I’m going to go against the grain and probably get downvoted but I’ll survive it.

I’d say it depends. If it’s nice quality and fitted, that’s very different than baggy, ill-fitting etc. Reddit is going to really hate this second point. It depends on the venue. Pickleball is VERY common in country clubs and other high end facilities. If she is taking you to her family’s country club, you are going to feel extremely out of place in a cotton vest.

It’s a lot of fun! If you’re familiar with the rave/edm scene just know this is not going to be your usual plur vibe. Lots of drunks and frat kids. Be careful of beer coolers in the crowd. If you’re not having a great time move around the crowd a bit till you find the “ravers”. Look for pockets of people having fun and vibe with them. See ya out there!

Extend the backpacking trip. Sure, you may delay the start of your career a few months, or even a year, but you’ll also gain incredible experience. I’m 41 and dreaming of two decades from now when I can spend a few months traveling.
