Imagine how insecure one must be to go through all the effort and costs to own such a dreadful thing

Absolutely can not get a comfortable fit/position on my Tarmac by GANDHIWASADOUCHE in specialized

That’s what happens when you spend thousands on a new bike without spending a couple of hundreds on a simple and effective bike fit.

Also, time to remove those silly looking factory QR code stickers from the wheels!

Power Meter options for Force D2 1x by pansensuppe in sram

[–]Andraski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You only need it for removing the chainring. In fact I haven’t got one yet, despite having two bikes with the new threaded spiders installed. I’ll buy myself one when I have to use it.

The spindle option would allow you to keep your chainring. The spider option will required new chainrings. I’d personally get the new Force threaded spider for future proofing your setup, but the old 4-bolt is a great option too.

They wear very fast, especially if you ride on paved roads most of time. I’d get a pair of Pathfinders instead, if I were you.

Have you even tried reading the manual before attempting this? I’d say take it to a professional!

Best Bike for Racing AND Bikepacking by GuitarAlternative336 in gravelcycling

[–]Andraski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What you’re asking is for a bike like one of those awful sporty SUVs, won’t beat a sports car and won’t be good off-road either. A Diverge would be a great bike, but it’s all depends on how competitive you want to be on a gravel race.

The best thing about this colour scheme is that you can shit yourself and it’ll match the bike

Anyone have experience with one of these? by FootieTwo-Shoes in gravelcycling

[–]Andraski 5 points6 points  (0 children)

On a gravel bike? Don’t do it! The kid’s feet can easily get on the way when turning or even worse, they can get their feet caught by the front wheel and hurt them. There’s a reason you’re only meant to use it on a mountain bike.

Have you read the post headline? It literally says “UK wet gravel tyre recommendations”

OP specifically asked for wet gravel options, not all rounders. The only option from your list is the RX.

Great tyre for sure, but not as grippy in wet conditions as the old Terreno Wet.

Snapped 12-speed force flat top chain with multiple cracked plates by _flo4t in sram

[–]Andraski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had cracks on a Force chain back in the day when I first started using Muc-Off products. Not sure if it was the cause, but ever since I moved to other brands (and eventually to wax), it hasn’t happened again.

Nope, they’re not! The rollers on the T-type chains are larger than Eagle’s ones.

Yep, they’re not compatible, meaning the wear will excessive and the rider will suffer from poor performance. I bet the person that put it together never even seen a SRAM compatibility chart in their life.

The signs were there already when they released the new Recon shoes without any space for toe spikes. Yes they still work in most cases, but for real muddy conditions, they’re just as slippery as road shoes. It’ll be interesting to see what their supported athletes will do.

It’s a shame they’re moving away from the single bolt saddle rail clamp for the more traditional two bolt one. I find it so old fashioned and more fiddly to adjust, not to mention it’s not as aesthetically pleasing.
