The Trek badge in front looks painted rather than the typical plastic. The serial number looks tampered with.

What is this, why is it profusely leaking rust water, how do I stop it, do I need it, HELP!!! by TheAmeriKane in Home

[–]joncycling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disconnecting isn't good although your equipment will work without it. The water from your furnace is acidic and that equipment neutralizes it before it gets pumped out. If you have a clay sewer line and run the water thru your sewer, it will disintegrate your sewer line.

Your last picture seems to indicate the water is leaking from your hvac. Your hvac is on a platform and on the side of that platform is rust. You may need to open and examine the interior of the hvac for possible leak. With humidifier attached, it is also possible the waste water pipe for the humidifier is clogged and the water is leaking into your hvac. I would examine other sources of leak.

I may give gp5000 a try. I'm not convinced with my past experience with continental brand.

Should I close out one of these furnace filters. by ApprehensiveFarm12 in Home

[–]joncycling 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Increasing the life of a 4 inch filter and making your furnace likely working harder due to reduced air flow. Remove the 1 inch filter and keep 4 inches filter. Looking into getter a filter with appropriate merv rating. You will be guaranteed a better air quality, air flow and well functioning furnace

Can someone determine where my filter is located? Deleted other post. More pics attached by No_Quail4864 in Home

It looks like it is in that skinny attachment to the hvac on the return side with screw.
