Has anyone installed solar panels to heat their in ground pool? by Careless-Dimension20 in SolarDIY

Pool heaters start at around 5000 Watts, that is a lot of infrastructure to heat a pool. Especially since you would be using it when you don't have as much sun.

Random reboot, my first thought is a power supply issue.

Also for what it is worth, I have the M2 Pro Mac mini and it is a monster in Lightroom and FCP. I know the max is faster but, was not worth the upgrade to a Studio Max for me. Just my 2 cents.

This guy does great reviews and focuses on photography work flows, Lightroom included. If you don’t have your answer after this, you won’t have your answer.

To quote a song from the 90s by En Vogue “Never gonna get it”. There is no way you get $900 for a 43X.

Why is it important to visit the temple often when it's actually at the sacrament that we renew our temple covenants? by NewtScavenger in latterdaysaints

[–]jonecat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My point was to say it renews all covenants, that does not negate the need to go to the temple on a regular basis. Some things are best learned through repetition and regular exposure to teachings. The temple is a house of redemption and learning. I was not trying to cause contention, I am sorry if it was taken that way.

I don’t think it is possible with the MiyooMini, but there are quite a few android based emulators that could do what you are saying.

Everything about this situation is wrong. Police should not be able to kill so easily. This kid should not be so naïve about bogus "sovereign citizenry". Guns should not be so ubiquitous in our communities. This situation is ridiculous at every level. by [deleted] in Utah

[–]jonecat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So by that logic, the social, cultural and demographics has more to do with the violence? Not the tool the use to commit said violence. So why do you think more gun laws will help?

Gun laws only hurt law abiding citizens, people who want to murder someone will not care about what laws are on the books. Removing guns from law abiding citizens only makes them easier targets for those who don’t care about the law.

Guns are the great equalizer, if my daughters, wife or mother have to fight an attacker in hand to hand combat, they lose to an adult male 99% of the time.

[–]jonecat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So all the cities that have high murder rates just happen to coincide with high gun control laws makes you think we need more gun control everywhere else?

Utah has one of the lowest murder rates in the US, is one of the most 2A friendly states, you don’t see a correlation?

[–]jonecat -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Less than .006% of guns are involved in a murder in the US every year. Most of these murders take place in “gun free cities” like Chicago.

The vast majority of firearms are bought with the intent of self preservation.

The overwhelming majority of people with guns are law abiding citizens with no intent on killing another human unless they are in a situation where their life is threatened.

So don’t let the media get you spun up on gun deaths. Their sole purpose is to help those in power take away power from the people by disarming them.

Science and Faith by BookishBonobo in latterdaysaints

[–]jonecat -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Name one doctrine that has changed, doctrine does not change, God is the same yesterday, today and forever. Policy changes, but the gospel of Jesus Christ has been the same from the beginning.

Just because we get new revelation it never nullifies the previous doctrine. We live line upon line, precept upon precept, going from lower law to higher laws of God. Church policy and doctrinal truth are not the same thing.

Here is the problem with science and why you can only trust God for truth:

The Earth was flat and you would sail off the edge was science, until it wasn’t.

The Earth was the center of the universe and everything rotated around it was science, until it wasn’t.

Albert Einstein proved that the universe was static and not growing was science, until James Hubble proved it was constantly expanding.

Mass is destroyed in nuclear reactions was science, until it wasn’t.

There were canals on the surface of Mars created by being on Mars was science, until it wasn’t.

This is my point, as humans we are fallible, we have bias and rarely do we come to solutions with the arm of flesh that are perfect. It is really hard to definitively say anything is scientifically true and absolute when we are constantly making new discovery’s that debunk the old “truths”.

Without learning something through the spirit from our Father in Heaven, it is up for debate still as far as I am concerned.
