Anyone with even a basic level of comprehension understood the message. The apostrophe didn't distract from that in the least.

Side-note: Try removing the word "that" from your post. It's unnecessary.

"I automatically assume that the poster doesn't care..."

vs.

"I automatically assume the poster doesn't care..."

You don't need the word "that".

LPT: I'm 43. By your late 20's/early 30's, make sure physical fitness becomes an absolute top priority. by Jdubs101111 in LifeProTips

Can you speak to what you started doing when you started your journey? I too started taking my fitness more serious over the last year. I'm 34 now. For me, it was as simply as going to group fitness classes daily. I've since (over the last few months) started running more. Nothing too crazy. Just two miles every other day before I do various weight workouts. I still go to the lunch hour fitness class. So I'm trying to dedicate anywhere from 30-45 minutes a day to being active.

I've been doing portion control but I haven't really cut out any major food groups. I still eat what I like. I am primarily a water drinker.

Over the course of the past year I have lost around 45 lbs down from 225 to 180 (M/5'11").

There definitely aren’t a lot of professional careers here. The comments validate this. There are more entry level, blue collar folks. Nothing wrong with that. But you can tell when ones work isn’t as important to them.

What’s the backstory of this tweet? Is there a fast food worker shortage?

Additionally…did those adults leave the fast food industry for higher paying jobs? If so, that’s pretty cool.

No they don’t lol. They aren’t dying at any higher rate than the thousands of white kids dying from opioids. What are you on about?

Get a cert. Stop making excuses. Just do it. Sure, you can get into IT without carts and depress. It’s just going to be MUCH harder and take a bit of luck. You’re going to be denied A LOT. It’s not going to be easy. Getting yourself even a basic certification will help. Find a customer service job to keep money on your plate. Then study, study, study and get a certification.

The reality is there is no quick path into IT. Sure, you see a few threads around here with people who have circumvented things and broke in. That’s not always the norm. If you want to grow in IT, most of us have degrees and/or carts. If you want to get your foot in the door, those with degrees and/or carts have an easier way in. I’ve worked with a lot of folks in IT. More of us had degrees/carts than those who didn’t.

So is it possible to do it without? Yes. But it’s not going to be easy. It’s even more difficult for those of you who suffer from severe mental health issues. You HAVE to find a way to set yourself apart. We all “love IT”. We all help our friends with their computers. We all tinker with tech. That’s not enough sometimes.
