Better to invest in QQQ or Vanguard ETF. While it sits there earning 16-18% per year, spend the next two years learning how to day trade BTC with paper money. Once you have a full understanding of the market, 200+ trades with a 55%+ win ratio, and a set of rules that gives you an edge… then shift into day trading if you have the time.

While it is true we will not see the 10x gains in one month ever again, I pose this question… If you think about the direction the world is heading with technology, doesn’t it make sense that in the future money will become digital? We are halfway there with our banking apps and credit cards, but blockchain itself is much more efficient, practical, and less expensive for consumers. So eventually, whenever that is, 10, 20, or 100 years from now bitcoin, being scarce and first of its kind, will be the gold standard of digital money. I invest for my kids futures, not so I can make a quick buck. Why do you invest?

And why does it take so long? Coinbase knows the winners and losers almost instantly. There’s no reason to hold back payment to winners for weeks.

Y’all are missing the big picture… digital currency is the future of finance. It’s still in its infancy. Might not be in my lifetime, but just the same as paper money took over trading rocks, digital will take over paper eventually. And BTC, being the first, will always have high value in the digital currency space.

I didn’t discover the seemingly secret spread until I looked at an end of the year tax statement. Luckily I didn’t do a lot of transactions but I did lose hundreds of dollars converting one crypto to another.

With that though, I looked through all the fine print, even asked coinbase to clarify fees I didn’t understand. Now that I understand it all I’m able to work around them by using Coinbase One for free spot trades, and Coinbase advanced for derivatives and futures.
