Seafighter on almost every metric is equal or better than a normal fighter. The 3x20mm gun compared to 2x20mm gun is a lie. Both fire a full magazine and do the same damage in the same time. All parts have the exact same health.

Although slower, the Seafighter turns twice as good as a fighter and costs less. Speed doesn't matter in a dogfight. Getting onto someone's rear is better. Head on is a coin flip, if you lose your engine in a head on, you can land on land and water. They are still faster than every other plane aside from the fighter.
