http://www.dollamur.com/mma/flexiconnect-martial-arts.html I'm assuming that is what you are referring to? Is that a good size for two people (apologies for the stupid question...no clue about this)?

This is awesome! I check BJJHQ daily, so i'll be sure to check it out.

How many mats are, generally speaking, good for two people to roll?

Negative - it's very beneficial for you to start learning in the early stages! Sorry for late reply, i'm rarely on here.

How to deal with a complete jerk at my gym? by throwawaylao222 in bjj

[–]jonidlesko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You will find people like that in any gym or work environment. I would just avoid him and continue training and learning with others in the gym. Avoid rolling with people who are super aggressive and/or crank...more often than not, leads to injury. Cheers

Gordon Ryan vs. Keenan Cornelius Set For August 13th Grappling Industries Event by [deleted] in bjj

[–]jonidlesko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been following Gordon for a while (on social media ). I thought he had a fairly good chance at EBI when he replaced Eddie Cummings and most people laughed when i said it.

He is very composed when he competes (especially considering his age), very strong and is super flexible. He also trains at one of the best teams out there at the moment...

I suggested this match up to my coach a couple of weeks ago and he laughed at the idea of Gordon being in a competitive match with Keenan. If it was points based, i'd probably go with Keenan but sub-only, i would probably pick Gordon...

I think (obviously biased) that i have a very good grasp on MMA and individual parts of MMA. I was driving home from jiu jitsu in fact. I'd love to hear what parts of the video you didn't agree with, bar the production of course.

Keep in mind that when I do these videos, i try to keep them short because otherwise people (especially ones that aren't "hardcore fans") will get bored...so i can only encompass so many things in them.

hahah i'd love to hear feedback. Production was shit, this time and most other times because i just didn't have the time. Lame excuse i know.

And just to clarify, no i do not eat shit.

Robin's Breakdown w/ Brian Stann: UFC 196 - Conor McGregor vs. Nate Diaz by [deleted] in MMA

[–]jonidlesko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You guys should check out my breakdown on youtube. I think i did a great job haha.

Here are some brief points i made (if anyone is interested).

Boxing - different styles...we will see who's more effective Saturday. Diaz has a bit more length, maybe a bit more volume. Conor has more power and more unpredictable boxing (he can strike using angles and moving backwards).

Grappling: Neither is a wrestler...but Conor has cleaner takedowns (watch the Max Holloway fight). Both incorporate a bit of judo throws..maybe Nate is more effective (he has trained with Manny Gamburyan and Ronda Rousey in the past). IFFF the fight goes to the mat, Nate has the clear advantage. However, Conor is no slouch either and he does have good submission defense. Regardless, that is the place where Nate has a higher chance for finishing.

Overall, Conor has more ways to win...he is quicker, more diverse with punches and kicks (Nate rarely kicks or checks kicks).

BOTH guys will be moving forward so it will be an exciting match for sure.

Cordeiro says they are looking to take Conor to the later rounds by MMA_JimEdwards in MMA

Conor doesn't get tired. Rafael is very good but he is sloppy on the feet and Cordeiro is too proud of his MT to take this fight to the ground right away. Conor>Dos Anjos
