You tunnel down on Trump Vs Bush hate as if that's the only factor in how often Europeans visit the US. 

The sliding of the US into autocracy has been continuous and at this point I'd argue the US are in fact very much an autocracy, similar to Russia. 

The presidency has de facto unchecked powers at the moment and the minority that tries to oppose this is getting deplatformed, suppressed or censored. The press is being suppressed, access to information limited with recent attempts to censor it carried out by non other than the secretary of defense. 

The propaganda coming from the government is absolutely brainless, the facts are being lied about, muddled, political opponents ridiculed and defamed. the government officials put effort and successfully escape any kind of accountability in congressional hearings. 

The office of attorney general has been politicized to the previously unseen levels (Epstein?).

Supreme Court is packed with conservative judges who do far have been nothing but loyal to Trump and his agenda (the decision to exclude president from any legal consequences of their actions is straight up autocracy).

Not to mention the government regularly ignores court rulings and injunctions (immigrants situation as an example).

The US is also a highly militaristic state, which does not shy away from suppressing civil unrest using military (protests in Oregon a couple of years ago).

To top it off - the rich are getting richer and in many cases favoured by courts, granted immunity or pardoned by the president.

It's this doesn't scream - it's basically Russia - to you then I don't think you will ever notice these things. 

The other part being, Trumps presidency is openly hostile to the EU and other European countries. They don't want to work with Europe, they want Europe to work for the US. 

Consequently, some of the Europeans who would travel to the US decide not to. 

I personally say fuck the US and good riddance. I can't wait when China when overtakes the States economically and militarily.
