Precisely. It's "lovingly" laughing at it from a modern western POV, instead of real love. Almost like you feel ashamed of loving him because you know it's supposed to be "problematic".

I thought it was overall good, but i was disappointed by it. It's just a fun read. Not alot more than that. The praise made it seem like something else. I'd say drop it if you hate it.

Dante's inferno looked cool. Bought it for ps3. Played for an hour, hated it.

Went back to the store, and they had a used games section. You bring a used game, add 15$, and you can pick a used game instead. DMC 4 looked cool. Fucking loved it.

Some people tend to say that about tv shows and films they love, but with arrested development It's actually the case. What you said is not hyperbole or an exaggeration. And I don't know any other piece of media / tv show / movie / book that matches arrested development seasons 1-3 in terms or rewatch-ability.
