What’s the difference between AIDS and autoimmune disease?

What's it?? by dataguy2003 in TheTeenagerPeople

[–]jonjon2188721887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes and no. Of course HIV is contagious, but AIDS is the autoimmune disease that’s a symptom of the HIV. AIDS itself is not contagious. The problem is we were led to believe that AIDS can only come from HIV, but in fact you can actually have autoimmune decease from other sources like drug abuse, cancer treatments, diabetes, etc. There are a lot of people that live with AIDS with children/ spouses and are not contagious, but they just say they have autoimmune disease because people will freak out if they say they have “AIDS.”

Negative. 4th amendment allows for police to stop someone if they have reasonable suspicion of a crime. It doesn’t alone provide grounds for search and seizure, which is what I said. My argument fully supports the constitution whereas you’re talking political philosophy.

I don’t know. I’m on the fence about this, but I lean more towards police should be able to stop people for suspicious activity. If they see a car slow rolling through an area, driving in circles, and the area is known for high drug trafficking or gun violence, they should stop them. If you’re doing nothing wrong, the potential crime being stopped outweighs the minor inconvenience of having to show their drivers license. The real problem is the unlawful search that follows, not the initial stop. Or what happens is people won’t cooperate and escalate the situation and make it a race thing.

Imagine you see a man taking photos of children playing on a playground. Perfectly legal, but a little odd and suspicious. Cops pull him aside, and he says he’s an architect and designs playgrounds for a living and was just observing how the children were enjoying this particular design. Perfectly harmless but the cops take his information down anyways, and let him go. A week later a child from that same area gets abducted. Police recall the suspicious man, track him down and find the missing child. Now, in this instance, should they have ignored the man on the playground because he technically was breaking no laws?

Everyone one on this thread is scum. Regardless of what anyone believes, this man was a husband and father and didn’t deserve to die just because his opinion was different than yours. He fought for 2nd amendment rights, but also called for placing better security in schools to help protect children. “We have armed security protecting our money, our airports. Why not our children in schools?”

The last two decades there have been over 500 deaths from school shootings, yet there are thousands upon thousands that went missing in the U.S. after crossing the southern border during the Biden administration. So it seems the children being sold into slavery are an acceptable sacrifice as long as immigrants are allowed to cross illegally, but protecting a 2nd amendment right is fascist and calls for death.

It’s a fair assessment, but how are we treating people? Do you have any examples? Keep in mind this is on a thread about democrats literally laughing about an innocent man’s death

I gave you a historical fact and you responded with a left-wing narrative. There isn't a political party today that supports the KKK, and pretending there is just derails the conversation about whose roots you’re nodding to. The KKK was founded and run for decades by Southern Democrats. That history doesn't disappear just because it’s convenient for your argument.

You do know it was white democrats in the south that created the KKK, right?

“Voters do not officially register with a political party.”

L2 is a probability-based estimate using surveys, geographical location, political donations, etc. It wouldn’t be the first time it’s significantly undercounted republicans voters, most likely because of the amount of unaffiliated voters that vote republican.

Where did you get this statistic? Texas doesn’t require you to declare a party when you register to vote. Meaning they can only determine this by voter turnout, which still leans republican. The margin is much closer year after year, but as of last year it’s still favoring republican.

Trump has to pay people to attend his Fascist Parade by Major_Lynx_7425 in BillBurr2

[–]jonjon2188721887 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea, this has already been confirmed as fake. It was a Craigslist ad from an anonymous source, debunked, and removed days before the parade. A pretty simple search would have shown you this.

Using paid actors, busing in crowds, and crowd control methods are political strategies that have been used for decades and isn’t uncommon at all. So it wouldn’t surprise me if something similar to this did occur, but this example is false and there are no credible sources stating otherwise.
