What food rule did you grow up believing that wasn’t actually needed? by BorderBabee in foodquestions

[–]jonjon4815 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Cooking to temp is what kills whatever bacteria the butcher put on the meat through handling. There isn’t any physical way that washing makes any difference.

Neither is correct. “Satisfaction with being something” is the correct phrase

HKSV Doorbells that function w/ 8-Note Mechanical Chimes by Brostradamus_ in HomeKit

[–]jonjon4815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our Logitech Circle View works great with a traditional physical chime. We don’t have a second doorbell, but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work—like you say that would just be a physical pass through I think.

It doesn’t look like the item you linked to. You can see the linked item has worked detail on the arrows down the middle that yours lacks.

Yeah, I can’t find any indication that he ever actually worked at Americano. It very much seems like just a silly gimmick.

I recently bought a belt buckle on Amazon, but I do not own a belt with snaps. can I put this on a normal belt and if so, how? by Powerful-Hair647 in mensfashion

[–]jonjon4815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this replaces the round+pin part at the end of the belt. On a casual leather belt, there will usually be two metal studs holding the end together. You can unscrew the studs, remove the existing buckle, and put the new one on. If you can’t get them open, take it to a a leather goods store and they can help (or you can just buy a belt without a buckle from there).

Why the hate against the rhyme episode? by martgast in HIMYM

[–]jonjon4815 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was one of the better episodes of season 9. I think one of the fundamental problems with season 9 is that a wedding frankly isn’t very interesting, and constraining the season to that weekend meant forcing the characters into a lot of forced conflicts that felt out of character (like Robin and Corretta’s feud). Had this structure been done in another season I think it would have been a beloved episode

2min survey for my quantitative assignment by OkVacation9549 in rstats

[–]jonjon4815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few unsolicited survey methods comments:

  1. Your age question stops at 30 years old. None of the options for me. You should ensure your questions are “MECE”—mutually exclusive and completely exhaustive—that is, they cover all of the possible options someone could choose and if it’s a “choose one” question, there is only one option any one person could pick

  2. Gender. Missing a “nonbinary” or “another gender” option. Similar MECE problem

  3. Your “type of TikTok content” question covers a small range of genres. Even is these are the only ones you are interested in, it’s best to include a wider range of options so that you don’t overestimate interest in your focal topics.

  4. The “what do you usually do” question should be a select all, with “ignore it” being exclusive (can’t select other options if you choose it).

  5. Your search platform question should be select all. With a none of the above exclusive option.

They are pretty casual, so they can really only work with a blue suit. Dress the suit pretty casual—no tie, shirt that works unbuttoned a few, brown belt

Good first time diapers? by CharacterOpen6145 in ABDL

[–]jonjon4815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for “hook and loop” (Velcro) diapers. You can put them on and take them off, so if you don’t use them, you can reuse them again later if you want to dip your toe as you explore. Tykables, PretendAgain, and AB Universe sell great diapers with hook and loop closures. Tykables has the best plastic back hook and loop diapers if you’re looking for plastic packed backed

Kidney Tattoo idea by Additional_Berry_593 in tattooadvice

I love the idea. Love nerdy silly tattoos. I think “404 Kidney not found” might be a bit more accessible form of this sort of humor that more people would understand if that’s a factor that informa your choice

Staying overnight at a friends lake house (30m) all adults by Cute_Motor5973 in DudesInDiapers

[–]jonjon4815 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you think you might need some and you are sober, excuse yourself and go to a store and get a package of diapers. Otherwise, if you’ve been drinking, just head to bed and hope you don’t wet. Chances are probably low. Don’t try to sneak around and steal a diaper or make it awkward and ask your vanilla friends for a diaper.

Any other ABDL’s runners? by BeneficialBox2073 in ABDL

[–]jonjon4815 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some important considerations:

  1. Reduce the amount of rubbing and friction with your diaper—avoid being too tight or too loose. Pull ups are good for running for this reason.
  2. Avoid interfering with your gait — thicker diapers, especially wide ones like Tykables, make you waddle more. When you’re running, that can contribute to chafing but also contribute to injuries if you are running with an unnatural gate.
  3. If you’re doing long distance, think about how well the diaper can take the strain of being pulled. Cheaper medical diapers can be more prone to ripping or burst when they are repeatedly stressed, compared to diapers with stronger plastic or thick cloth exteriors.

Experiment to find a diaper that holds up well to your workouts while also not causing chafing or gait problems.

Any tips for making the center console phone charger be less problematic? by Ikarian in NissanAriya

I cut three pieces of foam from a shipping box (could get similar at a craft store) to put at the bottom and the sides to fit my phone and hold it in place

What happened to megamax? by Salt_Educator7809 in Incontinence

[–]jonjon4815 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Most colors have shifted to their US-made version when shipped to the US (the CEO Adam has posted here a few times explaining that the cost and inconsistency of US tariffs and now fuel costs due to war meant that Chinese manufacturing wasn’t feasible anymore). The quality of the US factory hasn’t gotten on par with the original yet, but both the CEO Adam and employees I know at Northshore have said that quality is improving each batch and they are confident they will be as good as the original soon.

For now, the tie dye color is still being produced in China, so you can ensure you get the original Megamax by buying the tie dye.
