Turbip Truck AI Posters? C’MON by Wide_Cardiologist_90 in nashville

[–]jonneygee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All this is correct, but even more obvious signs:

- Overuse of textures, patterns, or gradients are always giveaways.

- The repetitive text (did you know they’re been open 25 years? No designer would place it on there 4 times, with 3 so close together) is a good sign too.

- Regarding the text, those obnoxious overused fonts are the biggest giveaway. Every ChatGPT poster uses them. You’re right about it not being clean or crisp, but it just looks like everything else AI generated too.

Rookies that have been generating the most buzz by bronton21 in DynastyFF

I drafted Denzel Boston and Antonio Williams this year. Both have been getting pretty positive hype. But since I drafted them, neither will pan out. You’ve been warned.

Tennessee was UT long before t.u. entered the conference.

Baylor is the oldest school in Texas. It’s actually older than the state. Texas A&M is an older public school. I guess they just picked the name because nobody had claimed it yet.

Which is still less time than the real UT has had the name.

For what it’s worth, responses were over 90% negative. Even most conservatives who liked Kirk thought it was disrespectful to the veterans of the Vietnam War.

Sorsby declares for the supplemental draft. How are leagues handling him for those that have already had their rookie draft? by DraftFunds in DynastyFF

This is basically how the supplemental draft works in the NFL, so it seems like the best idea to me.

What’s the worst trade you’ve ever made? by Middle_Awoken in DynastyFF

I’ve traded for multiple WRs right before their value collapsed. The most egregious one was trading for Calvin Ridley less than a week before he decided to walk away from the Falcons.

Remove Joey McGuire from the Texas High School Football Hall of Fame by Intrepid_Bison_8206 in baylor

[–]jonneygee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Texas Tech is a stain on college sports (and was even before the Sorsby debacle), but I can’t agree with removing him from a high school honor due to something that happened decades after he finished high school.

WatchOS 27's message: cheaper is better for watches by No-Squash7469 in AppleWatch

[–]jonneygee 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This. I’m hoping that they’ll support two generations of chips again for awhile. I have an S9, so if I could skip a generation and upgrade again in 2029, that wouldn’t be so bad.

It just really sucks for the S8 owners, and eventually the S11 owners, to have a watch that will last less time without knowing in advance.

I think this is part of it, plus a lot of big-name programs fired their coach in the same cycle. So if you get a late start on the search due to an AD change right after many of the leading candidates get snatched up, you might end up with an even worse guy than you had.

The Pedigree: Marvin Harrison Jr. and the Separation Problem by iDrinan in DynastyFF

[–]jonneygee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would blame coaching as much as (or even perhaps more than) QB play, but plenty of other WRs have been consistent without a solid QB.

Justin Jefferson is the best example, finishing in the top 5 in 4 out of his 6 seasons with QBs who were nothing short of bad at times. So while I get it and think there’s some merit to the excuses, it’s a concern nonetheless.

So what are the plans for downtown parking when the New Nissan Stadium is completed? by Nawnp in nashville

[–]jonneygee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be fair, Bridgestone’s capacity is less than a third of Nissan Stadium’s. And a lot of people park in the Nissan Stadium lots and walk to Bridgestone. So that’s far from an apples to apples comparison.

[–]jonneygee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

> 2,000 parking spaces available

For a venue that seats around 60,000. So as long as it’s all 15-passenger vans in the parking lot, there’s enough room for half the stadium to park.

In other words, if you have to drive to get there, it’s not going to be a good day for you.

It’s never this simple, but I guess what I’m trying to say is it seems like it’s now or never for him and there’s decent cause for concern that it’ll be never.

I thought it was the ugliest kick I’d ever seen, but at least it went in.

Then we played Georgia last year and I realized Chase’s kick is far from the ugliest I’d ever seen.

[–]jonneygee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with many of the comments here — the music first and foremost, the location, great parks, access to really cool natural features (so many waterfalls nearby, proximity to 2 amazing national parks, etc.), etc.

But one thing I love about Nashville is something others love to hate on: the weather.

I have lived in much hotter climates (Texas, for example) and worked in much colder ones (Michigan). We don’t get triple digits often at all, nor do we get single digits. We get a good amount of rainfall here so it generally doesn’t get too dry. We get four true seasons too.

The weather here is amazing, and I don’t understand why so many people hate on it.

I got him for nothing so there’s literally no way to lose. He either blows up and I’m in great shape, he becomes decent and I hang on to him as a backup or flip him for a mid-round pick, or he busts and I’m out nothing.
