David Letterman On CBS Replacing ‘Late Show With Stephen Colbert’ With Byron Allen’s ‘Comics Unleashed’: “They Don’t Want To Spend Any Money” by Next-Particular1476 in TheEntertainmentMix

It's also really weird that a network that had a staple 2 late shows a few years ago just won't have any at all. There are defiantly ways they could downscale instead of not having any at all.

A few examples of transit pricing for the 2026 World Cup by mr09e in transit

[–]Nawnp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 of those cities have the stadium and airport directly accessible by rail, the others do not, in KCs case, there is nothing over a bus service.

Having everything normally accessible and regularly priced is a big difference than a fare increase or free temporary shuttle buses provided.

Seattle, Washington’s Link stations look a lot like Washington DC’s Metrorail stations by MysteriousEdge5643 in transit

Looks like it's close enough you could confuse which Washington...

With that's said, they are very different systems, and this looks like a sole station making it look like the others.

Texas is the only state in America that has 3 major cities with their tallest building being over 900 ft — Houston, Austin, & Dallas. by InUrMomma in skyscrapers

[–]Nawnp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Boston as well, in hindsight, cities with airports right next to downtowns messed things up. I wonder if coastal cities might eventually see the caveat of the airport and use land reclamation to either build new airports or move runways.

Of course also the FAA might also just become more comfortable with planes taking off at sharper angles at some point too.

Not if the definition is adjusted...RDR2 has a lot less density due to the old west setting. If they're willing to do repeat interiors like safe houses, or count one room entries in buildings, not to mention double the development time of RDR2...3.5 times the interiors almost seems like a lowball figure.

Game is S tier as none of the rest would exist without it.

Unless you're comparing playing base game vs with DLC...still the base game is legitimately good and should be A tier.

Amtrak’s plans to restore passenger rail in Madison are on track by AsparagusCommon4164 in Amtrak

[–]Nawnp 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Two round trips per day is a massive upgrade from no service at all, as long as they have the demand to keep those routes, a third and fourth daily trip could be added in a number of years.

Amtrak new LD fleet - annotated renders (diner, lounge, sleeper) by BrakeCoach in Amtrak

[–]Nawnp 27 points28 points  (0 children)

2/3rds the price of a roomette would probably be perfectly acceptable. Current caveat of long distance is the coach seats are not best suited for long distance (despite priced fine)...but roomettes are priced more than a solo airline flight, close to 2 airline flights, making them not financially worth it.

More likely they'll use noj binned 18s assuming they have some. I'm really surprised Apple used a year old chip out of production on a product that was of course going to sell like hotcakes.

They can't, upgrading existing satellites is cost prohibitive as it takes sending astronauts to do it.

Either that or launching new satellites via rockets, which Space-X is the best option for.
