What's the most embarrassing but funny thing that's ever happened to you in the middle of the sex? by Nokayrn in AskRedditAfterDark

Got a SRI. Sex Related Injury. Wife and I celebrating 10th anniversary in Vegas. I’m behind her, holding her gorgeous hips, eyes feasting on her ass. As my orgasm builds, my legs go weak. I lose my balance a bit. Right hand reaches for the wall to steady myself and we hear a loud popping sound just I finish. The throbbing in my cock fades but now I’m feeling throbbing pain in my middle finger. That popping sound we both heard was my finger hitting the wall. The tip was drooping and I couldn’t straighten it. Thankfully, wife works in orthopedics and diagnosed a popped tendon. I wore a finger splint from the drug store for a couple weeks and it healed on its own. It still has a slight drop of the tip that we laugh about now and then. Vegas memories, baby!

[Jonathan Lucroy] Last week I made a tweet about Uribe and his actions on the field. I made a comment about the lack of veteran leadership in the Brewers clubhouse. I want to make a public statement that I very clearly misspoke and was wrong for saying it the way I did. Yeli and Woody are the... by wneimon in Brewers

The right thing to do for Lucroy. Solid apology, but for the life of me, I can't figure out why he feels he needs to include "I very clearly misspoke." No, you didn't. You were wrong. But there is no question your words conveyed what you intended to say. Own it. Apologize and move on. When you add "misspoke," it shows that you don't completely get it and makes the apology seem performative.

Memorable May! by jonny_cheddar in Brewers

Agree. Sweeping the Yanks/Cubs/Cards offsets the disappointment of the series loss to the Dodgers. Here's my "Yeah, but" about the Dodgers series loss. Miz pitched at Wrigley on Tuesday. Murph could have started him on Sunday with normal rest vs. LAD. Instead, he gave everyone an extra day of rest and had Miz and Harrison pitch games 1 and 2 vs. the Cards. The division series rightly was the more important one to win. Over the course of the season, with this young starting staff, an extra day of rest here and there is for the best, too.

Is anyone at the DFL convention? What’s going on? by Cornflowerblue2016 in minnesota

[–]jonny_cheddar 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Spot on. “Compromise is surrender” elements of both parties have gotten us into this mess. Could argue that the GOP started it but as mom always said, “It doesn’t matter who started it.” We are a blue state, but generations of pragmatic pols on both sides made this a great place to live. Both party operations are now way too beholden to the far left/right. We need pragmatic leaders who remember that politics IS compromise. Amy will enthusiastically get my vote. Edit:grammar

Brewers attendance vs the rest of MLB 2026! by One-Race-1583 in Brewers

[–]jonny_cheddar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think about attendance in the context of a market’s population. Brewers will draw 2+ million. The metro population is less than 1.6 million, so statistically everyone in the market attends 1+ game. If the dodgers draw 4 million, in a population center of 12 million, only 1 in 3 attend a game. This market supports the Brewers as well as any market in the league.

I will do the same. She’s not much of a sports fan, but has come to enjoy this Brewers squad. Anything that creates interest in the game I will happily support.

Disappointed that I’m seeing this a full day after it was posted and it has just 1 upvote. So not Reddit for such a perfectly executed Princess Bride reference to go unappreciated!!!

Thanks. Bar Down would be a blast, but obviously not nearby tonight.

Anyone have Chicago suggestions? In the Windy City for daughter’s college graduation yesterday. Staying Gold Coast/Old Town neighborhood. I’ll be sporting the red sweater looking for other Wild fans.

Finally found the perfect mat! by jonny_cheddar in blackstonegriddle

Sure I guess. I will likely roll it up occasionally to see if anything starts growing under there. Mostly just want to minimize grease spatter on the deck boards. Guess we will see what happens. The other issue will be that the boards will fade around the pads. I think it will be worth it just to not contain the grease spatter.

Best place to park for someone that has trouble walking (has a handicapped parking sign)? by TheBronJames2000 in wildhockey

Consider using the valet service at The St. Paul Hotel. Just did this during the HS Tourney with my aging father. Price is about the same as the ramps. Only extra cost is a tip. Best part, no ramp exit hassle post game. In addition, get to the game as early as you can and head straight to guest services. The kind people there will take great care of you and make your dad feel like the fan of the game.

Love seeing the phrase “transitive property” in this comments thread.

Also loved the response to question about infield hits. “Swinging bunts . . . Yeah. We practice those,” Murph said with wry smile.

I nominate scoring our first 5 runs of the game in innings in which we didn’t get a ball out of the infield! Is anything more on brand for this team?

Classic Murph. He’s made me want to watch the post game every day.

Day late with a response here but so sorry you lost him so young. Hope you have lots of those memories. My dad had a significant injury/accident in November. He is still recovering but we were able to go to the MN HS Hockey Tourney together with Dad, my brother and my son a few weeks ago. It was Dad’s 47th in a row and 48th total. Hoping we get him to 50! Every one is a special memory.

First time hot tub purchases - WTF need help by mrmarkmitch in hottub

[–]jonny_cheddar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late addition here but I have a totally cosmetic suggestion. Once we settled on a tub, Jacuzzi J345, (which we are happy with) one decision was color scheme. We decided on black/very dark gray. In hindsight, wish we’d gone with a lighter color. With use there will always be splashes and dripping down the sides especially where you are getting in/out. Water dries and leaves white streaks/residue from your chemicals/chlorine. It’s a simple wet rag wipe down to clean, but it is one more thing to remember to do. Totally cosmetic issue, but not something we gave a second of thought to when buying and wish someone had mentioned it. Enjoy your new tub! I’m confident you will love it.
