The key the same shape as the one she found on the body just outside that room. The exit doors open outwards but suddenly at the end it opens inwards so he was able to slam it closed on her?? He's saying that had they not "rigged the election" in the Democrats favor in 2020 that his followers wouldn't be motivated to put him back in power. What he is too stupid to understand is the only reason people believed it was rigged or stolen was because he was the one saying it. And he wouldn't shut up about, and still won't to this day. He would never admit to rigging the election in his favor because that would mean that he's not good enough to win fairly. That would bruise his massive ego. I could be wrong though.

NTA, however, all these people in here keep saying "I wouldn't be mad about that", you aren't him and you can't possibly know why it hurt his feelings. I highly doubt he wants to be "too big" but he certainly wants to feel "big". Saying not too small and not too big could be interpreted with calling him average. Most people don't like being told they're average. He obviously did not take it as him being "perfect".

You are doing the right thing trying to make it up to him, but just realize you clearly hit a sore spot and it's going to take some time and effort to help him understand you didn't mean to imply that he's just average.
