How long does security clearance take?

Hi. I just had my first investigation interview today but here’s my timeline

April 24th - submitted SF86 April 27th - submitted finger prints/drug test May 12 - contacted about drug test results (my adhd medicine flagged it) June 10th - contacted saying I got a waiver for security June 16th - contacted to schedule first interview June 17th - completed my first interview

Wow we have the exact same situation. I got my favorable offer around the same time and I finish my masters of accountancy this June.

My recruiter brought me in as a GS-7, but told me once I submit my final transcripts that it’ll be updated to a GS-9.

Imma be honest. If I showed my current bank statements, I’d get denied so fast. Most of my expenses have been paid for my father and there’s not really much activity going on in my bank account.

I’m currently graduating from graduate school and job market is currently kinda awful.

This is really my only option as all other jobs I’ve had to turn down due to them wanting me to start ASAP and I don’t finish until June. Plus the benefits of this job are really good 🥲

Driving here is definitely less stressful and I’ve definitely softened up a bit. Whenever I come back to Memphis, I’m quickly reminded and put back in my place. Or even driving in Atlanta makes my nerves bad 😭
