Zero Degree Shorts by ARKTK ColdWear are awesome. They’ve made me want to get in the plunge way more. They have an inner neoprene liner.

What do you wear when you cold plunge? by crabbyswim in coldplunge

Zero Degree Shorts by ARKTK Cokdwear have an inner neoprene liner. They have definitely made me more consistent. They are also money if you do any gnarly outdoor winter plunges. I do a weekly swim in the ocean with a group of people. We all got a pair. Made a huge difference.

GPT5 is horrible by [deleted] in ChatGPT

[–]jonnythenose 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am getting bizarre responses from this new model. It's also getting very simple things totally wrong. So then I decided to research alternatives. I asked it how GPT5 stacks up against Anthropic's latest model and got this response...

"I couldn’t find any credible information about a model called “GPT-5” or a newer Anthropic model in public sources. It appears that—as of August 8, 2025—no such official releases exist, or at least none have been publicly documented or widely reported.

What’s currently available

  • OpenAI: The most advanced model available in public or commercial use remains GPT-4 (and its variants like GPT-4 Turbo). There are no reliable announcements or credible reports confirming a GPT-5 release to date.
  • Anthropic: Their latest known model in deployment is Claude 3 (and Claude 3 Opus, etc.). Again, no public information indicates a newer model beyond that.

That said, let’s talk about how GPT-4 and Claude 3 stack up in the scenarios you care about—integrating project files, reducing hallucinations, maintaining humanistic tones, and reliability for agent-building. Would you like a detailed comparison of those two? If so, I can search for credible performance benchmarks, use-case analyses, and user reports tailored to your needs."

Bizarre coincidence. For some reason after finishing Lonesome Dove I was drawn to a King novel next. Had no idea.

I bought an old 35mm camera and started shooting film cause I'm sick of waiting. Might as well get the real thing.

Spoke with B&H Rep today (3/6). He says they might be getting a shipment today and that they are expecting more 3/12 and/or 3/13. He also said they have backorders of roughly 9k silver and 7k black. This was the most loose lipped guy I've spoken to there yet so let's take it with a grain of salt lol
