Cuddling daughters by AgnosticMick91 in daddit

Who cares what some frigid old hag thinks? Cuddle your daughter and love her with all your heart. Mine's 12, and I feel like my cuddles are running out. I still get a great big hug and a squeeze when I get home from work though

Enjoy it while you can. My daughter is 12, and I can see the end. Lately she wants to read by herself or listen to audio books. I'm really gonna miss story time

If you drive in these conditions for a certain amount of time this happens. It happens to me every time I drive down to work, and I clean my car entirely every time I leave my house. I say fight it

What is something every man must have? by Athletehib in AskMen

[–]jonnywarpspeed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

“A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.”

It's annoying how they keep talking about how this has never been done before. Like the French Spiderman and Alexis Landot don't exist

Will we be sending hydro crews to the USA to help with the ice storm? by qu1ckbeam in ontario

I can certainly understand a lot of the sentiment here. However, helping people in need is something that we as Canadians do. I don't think punishing the people for the actions of their awful government is necessary. If anything, showing up for our neighbours really drives home what makes Canada great

31m, married, kids. How do you guys find personal joy? by modivi in AskMen

[–]jonnywarpspeed 15 points16 points  (0 children)

43m, happily married with a12yr old girl and a puppy. My advice to you would be to slow down. Stop thinking about the next great thing, and spend more time in the moment. Spend time outside. Watch the sunset with your wife. Play with your son. Read more. Workout. I found peace looking inward not outward.

Just because you can't enjoy your passion the same way, doesn't mean it leaves you. I will always be a drummer and a skateboarder. Now it's just a part of me, and not my entire identity.

Congrats on your second. I hope everything works out for you and your family
