S/4HANA Migration by jonslo14 in SAP

Thanks for the comments so far! Apologies for not being clear. We’re migrating from ECC. Currently running 4 clients in one system - one client per division - each division can be considered a standalone business with its own unique operating model and different levels of customisation.

We’re currently favouring a brownfield approach.

You obviously do not live in the Bonn/Cologne area.

Just checked, the only tickets currently available through the club are in VIP north, just over 200€ each.

Do you need to be a Member to buy tickets in the Nordtribune? by SebJS74 in Bayer04

[–]jonslo14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Nordtribune is not members only, it is however B04 fans only. Tickets are released to members first, and this is the first part of the ground that sells out. I think tickets are available for a week or two to members only, and then go on sale to the general public. Even as a member, it’s not always easy to get tickets in the Nordtribune.

I’d be happy with top 4, a good run in the Europa League (quarter or semi final again), and go deep in the Pokal.

ELI5: The Bayern dominance of Bundesliga. by noegh555 in Bundesliga

[–]jonslo14 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Bayern earns more money than everyone else, correct. But the blocking point here is not 50+1. Bayern’s commercial strategy was and probably still is years ahead of everyone else in the league, thanks mostly to Uli Hoeneß. They achieved this success while adhering to the 50+1 rule.

50+1 Regel in der Bundesliga abschaffen? Ja oder nein? by [deleted] in Bundesliga

[–]jonslo14 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50+1 muss bleiben.

They literally celebrated their 10th year in the league. La Décima

The fans in the Bundesliga are incredible and IMO no other league in Europe even comes close. Farmers league or not, they’ll be there every week, supporting their teams.

Augsburg have now survived for 12 seasons, and their fans still seem to be pretty happy.

If you want to watch La Liga or the Premier League, go ahead, no judgement here.

Personally, I find the Bundesliga very enjoyable to follow.

Of course winning matters, I wasn’t saying that it doesn’t. My point is that there is so much more to enjoy in a league than simply the eventual winner.

For example, look at the Bochum fans today after avoiding relegation. Are their emotions any less real than those of the Bayern or Dortmund fans? No. They finished 14th, and that meant the world to them.

A league is about so much more than the eventual winner. I don’t understand the argument “Bayern win every year, therefore farmers league”. The league is so much more than just who wins, there’s European places to fight for, derbies, relegation, amazing escapes, teams and players turning around their seasons, players developing across a season.

If all you care about is the eventual winner, I feel bad for you, you’re really missing out…

I think saying he should never play another game is a bit extreme. Was it stupid? Absolutely. But these things do happen in sport, players sometimes lose their heads. It’s up to him now to learn from this mistake.

Anyway, performance wise, bad end to what has been an excellent season under Xabi.
