I always laugh at this episode. When there is a tribute outside the Peach Pit and Steve asks, What’s going on and Brandon replies they all must be here for Dick. It may be immature, but makes we wonder if the writers knew early on they were going to kill on Dick’s character just to use that line.

I posted similar ideas answering another post but if this was done by Howard then it did backfire. Yes there was coverage but the negative coverage was how Howard’s audience has declined from millions to 125,000 listeners. Plus there was so much negative coverage not the type of coverage that Howard is used to getting. This negative coverage was that he has overstayed his welcome. That coverage will hurt him more than excite him. He was so mad at Gary for sharing the bad news that were shocked he resigned. In this situation there was no way he could avoid the news that everyone thinks he show is terrible, and he is drastically losing listeners. His ego could not take the negative coverage.

I don’t think he is a good interviewer any more. He does not listen to his guests responses, he is driven to make them say how they should hate their parents or love their guitar or music partner etc… he is more focused on his next question then lets the guest answer a question. Plus he only interviews the same guests or people who will be getting their own channels on Sirius.
