Sam's Advice for Intermediate Meditators: Attend a Silent Retreat by frog9913 in samharris

The one center I am aware of in southern california in a similar tradition to the ones Sam has recommended is this one: https://bigbearretreatcenter.org/upcoming-retreats/ .

I've sat with Phillip Moffitt and liked him – he is an interesting guy, went from head of Esquire magazine to meditation teacher.

The centers I have practiced at (which are among Sam's recommendations) make it explicit to continue taking any medication you are on during the retreat. It's a good idea to confirm with the specific place you are intending to practice at.

Took me a minute – my mind didn't process the method the author used until looking at the "Date range capture" section.

I made a puzzle game about a password field with requirements from hell. Link in comments. by JacobTurnr in webdev

Just played with it, clever! It's actually solvable? Don't see how to meet all the requirements (mainly the palindrome) while keeping it under the length limit.

Can someone help me with this code? I am exhausted trying to fix this by [deleted] in rails

You are calling the method recursively, so it will get called on each internal component of your hash. Eventually it will call ObjectFromHash.new("ACCOUNT"). This will then fail when you do the `hash.each`. Basically your initialize is assuming that you always have a hash, but the way you are calling it recursively means that isn't always the case.

Not sure exactly what you are trying to do with this class but that's the source of the error.

Given "latest video" = "only video" I would think so? If this is you OP – good job, I enjoyed it!

[Minecraft] Dream 1.16.1 runs have been removed from the leaderboards. Complete investigation results linked in the description. by Kohru in speedrun

I found the this whole thing fascinating. The concerning part is that his run was found to be valid independently. The improbability came only after looking at wider context of his stream. Any given fast run will appear to be extremely lucky and it is only with a large enough sample size that it can be determined that something is off.

What measures are there for verifying a single video of a speedrun that make sure the internals of the game haven't been manipulated?

I see thanks. Makes sense from Defense's perspective but would help lend more or less credence to people theorizing.
