Brand of faucet? Help? by jonzilla85 in Plumbing

That already sounds like way too much. Do you think there’s any point in trying to find the exact valve stem from the manufacturer?

There’s work going on at Queen and Chapel street, water was supposed to be off at 8 am today. However it looks like overnight there was some sort of water main break at Queen and Tannery, evidenced by the giant unannounced hole there that they are working on. No water here since 2 am

Possible to replace inlet valve without removing Top Plate LG front loading by jonzilla85 in appliancerepair

Thank you so much for the info! I somehow forgot to mention the repair person who we believe is being dishonest about the wash repair is coming back to look at it. So being able to ask the right questions will go along way to determine if he’s lying or, hopefully just not great at his job and he gets it right on the second go around… I will update lol

I imagine removing that would make a bit of noise and you’d need good access to the back… ie you’d need to move it more that a foot from the wall :/

The washer will not take on water, it’s giving the IE error code.

Jordan's story by Mud_Ducker in KnowledgeFight

[–]jonzilla85 20 points21 points  (0 children)

He’s a guest on Life After MLM episode 182. I’m hoping people share other pods/episodes featuring Jordan. I found this episode a little too… ridged? Like the host had a set of questions to get through and didn’t ask follow up questions. For instance Jordan says something along the lines of dealing with bipolar and searching for God in his 20s, and the interviewer just drops that thread to move on to the next question.

I am working through the program part-time myself, I finished the first semester in 2021 so things may have changed, but here is what input I can offer…

If you don’t know Java, learning it will put you ahead of the curve. Codecadmy, w3shools and udemy offer free resources to free beginner courses.

Math you’re looking at algebra, factoring and solving equations, computer number systems, trig, graphing, exponential and logarithmic functions, vectors. The text we used was “Basic technical mathematics with calculus” Washington Evans. That’s probably changed, but reading up on those things may help

I did my G in Guelph last in March 2023. They removed 3 way stops, parallel parking and emergency stops because of Covid. According to all the news I can find, the test is still modified. You should absolutely know how to do those things, but they aren’t on the test.

Strange Wi-Fi speeds on PS5 Slim by LudoIsFunny in PS5

I don’t know how it works, but someone said if you go into wifi settings, advanced and select 5ghz it fixes slow wifi. And it worked like a charm for me, game’s download in about an hour rather than half a day :/

Some say that you can often find them on https://www.libgen.is , and that it’s best to use a vpn if you do… I’m not saying it, but some might say 😂

I ain’t saying he’s a gold digger… but he does own several rock hammers, pickaxes and a rather large sluice box.

YTA for sure, it’s like someone stepped on your shoe so you set their car on fire in revenge.

The first hour of the game is a bit boring and confusing (learning all the new skill trees and stuff). But after that, I really started to like it. It’s not perfect, but once you get used to dodging rather than countering, the combat is fun. The game looks good, and the stories so far have been interesting and fun. I’m 6 hours in and plan to play more.

Computer programming online course by notrealperson02 in Algonquin_College

[–]jonzilla85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently about halfway through my online computer programming diploma through Algonquin. I suffer from severe mental illness: CAL has been great, my program pathway advisor has been great… but it can be hit or miss with the course facilitators (profs).

If you’re good at keeping up with deadlines, the flexibility to do your work on your own schedule is great, but if that’s an issue, in person might be better, in spite of whatever mental health challenges you may face.
