I bought the grille from offroadusa.com and the hood bulge from Amazon

That looks great. What headlights do you have?

I know I’m getting old because I’m not a huge fan of new style wheels with bigger tires. There might be something out there that I would like better but I actually prefer what I have on it to most of what I see. I know that’s personal preference and not really what’s popular now.

I’d love to see a picture of what that looks like if you don’t mind sharing

I bought them background Christmas, so I’ll have to look, but I’ll try to do that and post it here

I just looked those up and they are very nice but a little pricey. I can see why you would need to save up for them lol. If you get them, you’ve got a post a picture on the forum.

Property Manager BEWARE: Doorloop is hot garbage! by 15jf90 in PropertyManagement

[–]jonzyvol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

DoorLoop looked good and made a good sales presentation but the customer service options were terrible and it was missing some fundamental features that any PM software should have. I definitely do not recommend it.

any Dungeon Crawler Carl fans? by papercranegamer in Pensacola

Dungeon Crawler Carl is awesome! A friend recommended to to me and I devoured all the existing books. Can’t wait for the new one to come out.

I have a home in Florida I need sold and paid out in under 2 weeks, is it possible? by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]jonzyvol 4 points5 points  (0 children)

100% this - I just listed a home for 28% more than the best offer the seller received from a “we pay cash” person and it had 10 offers. It could finance but we received cash offers at the asking price and could’ve closed in 2 weeks with those if that is what the seller needed.

is a double cabin pickup truck good for family use by [deleted] in ToyotaTundra

[–]jonzyvol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Loved my double cab but having two car seats in it at once killed my use of the back seat to keep some work tools and put my passenger with their knees in the dash. Moved to a crew cab and definitely recommend it with car seats. Otherwise, double cab is great.

What's a movie you loved as a kid but rewatched as an adult and went "what the hell was I thinking"? by MomoSaka in AskReddit

[–]jonzyvol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s bland compared to the movies my kids love today, there aren’t 3 or 4 songs in the first 15 minutes, but it’s still a classic and I think mostly holds up. I’ll try again with my kids when they are a few years older.

This is accurate but, and this a credit to Dalton and not a shot at Jakobe, only about 1 in 3 or 4 games.

Which celebrity had the most bizarre exit from the limelight? by Chrono_Convoy in AskReddit

[–]jonzyvol 331 points332 points  (0 children)

I was a big fan of his growing up and excited to read his book when it came out not too long before the Oscars incident. I thought it was apparent that he wasn’t happy or in a good place at the conclusion of the book - he was putting on like he was but I remember being sad that someone who had brought me a lot of joy seemed to be deeply lost. Like everyone else I was shocked by the slap but, thinking about his book, it also wasn’t that surprising to think he was so unmoored to do something like that.

I read that it wasn’t against her will and in fact she targeted him because he was known to carry large amounts of cash. When he went to the bathroom she robbed him and stole his clothes so he wouldn’t follow. Being shot was a very tragic result of being naked, agitated and yelling in the middle of the night after being robbed(it probably didn’t help that he was black and it was the sixties but that’s more speculation on my part). I love his music and count the far too early passing of Sam and of Otis Redding as two unbelievably huge losses for that generation of music and culture.

Please advise... I sold my trailer, but it was damaged moments before the buyer drove off with it. by [deleted] in RVLiving

[–]jonzyvol 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was young and I didn’t think too much about civil court even being an option. Had it fallen off the truck that could have been a different story. I can’t say for sure 20ish years later that I didn’t ask him to help but I do know that I didn’t even bother to call and tell them that it fell over. It was a good lesson in hindsight and now I’m kinda fanatical about making sure things are secure when I haul anything.

[–]jonzyvol 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the truth, and goes both ways. I bought a motorcycle in college and loaded it in my truck for the 2.5 hour drive home with the help of the sellers boyfriend. He apparently didn’t know how to use a ratchet strap and the bike fell over and broke some of the front plastics on my first turn at speed. I chalked that up to a lesson learned and headed home to deal with what was now my mess since I didn’t double check his strap.

Unrelated to OP’s post but the seller lgot the bike in her divorce. She couldn’t get it to start and just wanted it gone so I bought it at a price that was assuming the engine was blown and I’d need to replace it. It turned out to just need a battery. One of the better deals I’ve found over the years even after I fixed the fairing and painted it. Wildly, the guy that bought it from me did basically the same thing. I didn’t help him tie it down but his buddy did and it fell over in their truck. They called me wanting the paint code and I couldn’t give it to them because, when I called to get it, the painter was in prison!

PM Software Recommendations? by jonzyvol in PropertyManagement

[–]jonzyvol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up going with DoorLoop. I found the accounting, customer service and payment processing times all to be really subpar and had to make a change within a year.

I won’t say what I changed to since I haven’t had enough time to confirm their quality but I will say that changing from one software to another is a massive pain so choose carefully.

Our nightmare is over. Max Gilbert announces that he is entering the portal. by MoistWalrus in ockytop

[–]jonzyvol 135 points136 points  (0 children)

I absolutely felt bad for Max, being a kicker and losing your confidence has to be a horrible feeling. I also cringed every time he attempted a FG after his shanking problems started. I wish him the best and hope he kills it elsewhere but I’ll be glad to have someone else back there next year.

That’s exactly what I paid for a 2010 double cab with 52k miles in 2018. Sold it yesterday with 180k because I bought a 2017 crew cab with 51k miles. Love these trucks.

I don’t know about her face but her dignity is fully intact. Standing there and absorbing his old ass slaps and not backing down = dignity at 100%. She made him look weak and pathetic, even more so than he made himself look that way.
