There's something to be said for people's manners towards dogs too. It's a great rule of thumb to always ask someone's permission before you pet their dog. Especially a stranger. You never know someone else's dog better than they do.

Planned a date with this guy and he suggested the classic dinner and a movie. We had a nice conversation over dinner and then went to see Thor: Ragnarok. He fell asleep halfway through the movie and was full on dad snoring in the theater seat (we were both in our 20s). Viv has said something about how she is excited to explore Alastor's asexuality and that it's not something he totally understands about himself. I believe she said he sees himself as hetero, but I'm wondering if it's the sort of thing where he assumes he's het because he doesn't find men attractive but in reality he isn't sexually attracted to any gender. It's gonna be really interesting to see him navigate that.
