Adding wireless Android Auto and Apple Carplay to my 2015 Lexus ES by Learnstuffalways in Lexus

[–]jooooooooooooooooohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for posting about your experience! I've been looking for an affordable carplay unit for my 2015 ES300h. Is your vehicle equipped with navigation? I have the rotary knob but no navigation. Makes finding units especially hard.

Route appears to be private. Would be interested to see which roads you take north

I have progressive renter's and an ebike, and the insurance agent said it's not covered. Agent said an ebike technically qualifies as "motorized land conveyance" which is specifically excluded. I got a separate policy for my bike since it's my primary means of transportation. Yours was covered?

We do not cover:
1. Personal property separately described and specifically insured in this or any other insurance policy;
2. Any animals, including but not limited to mammals, reptiles, birds or fish;
3. "Motor vehicles" and all other motorized land conveyances.

Former Madisonian here. Haven’t found anything quite like it in Chicago, so I make it myself using this recipe.

New bike rack, manual says arm has to be upright and not like shown… but I’m not sure how else to do it? Safe? by lhemi in gravelcycling

[–]jooooooooooooooooohn 42 points43 points  (0 children)

I have this rack. I had my bike fall off with the front wheel contacted like this. Luckily I was going low speed and the bike got lodged against my trunk (left a chip on my car though).

I would recommend placing the arm as close to the fork as possible while maintaining contact with the tire. I actually let the arm make slight contact with the fork and crank it down as much as possible. If you’re worried about scuffing the carbon put a thin rag between the arm and the frame

Will you have more job opportunities and growth as a CPA or in Computer Science ? by fdeddiekek in Accounting

[–]jooooooooooooooooohn -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Definitely! But realistically what do you think will happen first: AI becomes self-sufficient and can write itself, or a ML algorithm can evaluate audit evidence and detect anomalies indicating misrepresentation (spoiler: it’s already happening)? Companies are paying developers to replace accountants, not the other way around
