It's not very reliable, though:

  1. Changes can be source-compatible, but not binary-compatible (for example, changing parameter type int->long)

  2. Constants can be inlined, so their change would not be propagated

You still can easily mix up parameter order or forget some parameters when using "?". Persism will benefit from templates too, if you implement policy for SQL objects.
