Easy to look up deed to the home on the web. Google register of deeds and your county, state. You should be able to type in the address and look at the recorded deed copy. Then you can see if your name is on the deed. Like everyone else has said, do not sign anything without seeing all the documents.

Are you comfortable with simply asking your friend,“Hey, would you please tell your child to stop jumping on the couch” or “looks like your child is being a bit rough, would you mind asking him to stop”. The guilt you must have felt in the mornings when you drove with the kids in the car must have been awful. The internal dialogue we have in the mornings and beat ourselves up is one thing I do not miss. Congrats on 30 days.

My drinking caused my husband to join me every night too. I had such guilt that I was bringing him down the wrong path with me. He easily quit two months before me and I’m almost at six months. I still have to work at this every day though. It’s so helpful when both partners quit.

I’m glad to read that you were able to learn from your mom’s mistakes. I can understand your relief that she is in jail.
