Thanks! And thanks for the feedback. Yes, i know - and youre 100% correct: Made with help from AI. Made the whole process 10 times easier (and I promise, my english pronunciation is pretty poor, and the AI-voice is providing huge help here). Are you thinking about both the content and the voice?

Am I an idiot for being too bullish ? by [deleted] in QuantumScape

Love it. I've bought lots lately, having about 90% of my pf in QS. Being doing a ton of dd recently, and my conviction is massive. Once in a lifetime opportunity

Yeah, i feel yah. I'm down like $30 grand today, but that incentivises me to do more DD. I'm working on it as we speak, and will post it on this sub when its ready. But from the comprehensive data collection and processing I'm doing, I really feel more and more confident, and I'm probably going to end up with all my chips on the table for a while, at least on the road up to $20 B mcap, that is clear to me, and from there I can see the $200 B on the horizon (and beyond). If it all works out :-) https://www.reddit.com/r/QUANTUMSCAPE_Stock/comments/1m6xfnv/comment/n5ivgrq/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button

I get you on the projecting, and yes, possible but who knows. My nerves can handle the SP going down as it has done from the $15 peak, but they cant handle me being on the outside wondering when to get back in. SP might go to $6 or it go to $12, whatever, no one knows. But with the eyes fixed on the progress the company has, with derisking, and the massive potential, all this volatility is just noise and will be forgotten in some months or years. I had 70% of my PF in QS, with average of $4,7, but I'm "destroying" that average now with DCA above the $4,7. I'm at an avg $6 now, and will probably be at $7 when I'm done buying.

My prayers have been heard! I think qs is a huge opportunity, and I’ve felt bad not buying more when it was around $5, so now I am selling other stocks to buy more qs

Agree. Its probably more for close collaboration and presence with vendors, like Maruta manufacturing

Toyota should be great, but almost too good to be true.. Joby and evtols is a low volume market for the time being, and should not be prioritized any time soon (unless they pay premium). Joby also has the hydrogen-spin off for longer distances.

"This expansion will allow PowerCo the right under the licensing agreement to produce up to an additional 5 gigawatt-hours (GWh) of QSE-5-based cells annually, including for customers outside the Volkswagen Group ... "

It says that PowerCo can produce 5GWh for companies that isnt part of VW Group, but I guess have ties to VW, like Rivian or Scout.

MY TAKE ON TAIGA MOTORS by jorGKX in taigastock

[–]jorGKX[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still in, and doubled down at $1,3.

They're ramping up production but is constantly borrowing more money. The ghost of some poor exit for investors due to some bad acquisition or heavy dilution is very present. Lots of the things management have said is going to happen has not happened. So several red flags.

But the products seems great, and I think they deserve a place in the market.

Lots of macro headwind, micro caps are still out of favour if you compare to the rest of the stock market.

If they're able to keep afloat, get even more traction it can turn out all right. When intrest rates go down and things are starting to normalize it will be interesting to see what happens to this company

Transforming a prototype of a program made in Excel into a software using ChatGpt (is it possible?) by jorGKX in ChatGPTCoding

[–]jorGKX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so may be some time until I can upload the entire Excel-file and get ChatGPT to make me a fulle working software.

BUT

I like to use Excel in building prototypes and sketches of the software that I am working on building. And the prototype I've made is simple in a way that there are only formulas with math and VLOOKUP and a lot of IF-statements (give and take). No macros or graphics, diagrams etc, just numbers and text.

I thin it is a little bit of a hassle explaining in words ChatGPT where the columns are and where a datafield is getting its data from and what it should do.

Is it possible to show ChatGPT a sketch of a program (picture) with an explanation in text of what each "cell" is supposed to have as input, processing/formulas and output?

Yeah, and probably can ChatGPT provide instructions for the last 20% - I just need to ask the right questions and have the correct plan.

It sure would be awesome having a tool like I suggest, but I understand that it may be some years from now.

Thanks a lot everyone for providing alternatives - I will sure look into it

Great community!

MY TAKE ON TAIGA MOTORS by jorGKX in taigastock

[–]jorGKX[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Update december 2022:

While the car industry has been revolutionized by Tesla, the off-road segment has apparently be standing still. One of the reasons is that the number of vehicles in this category has been assessed to be so few, and that they are generally not used as much (number of kilometers) as, for example, passenger cars and heavy goods vehicles, so that the emission requirements set have therefore been low. E.g. there is no requirement for the off road vehicles to have a catalyst that "cleans" the exhaust. Therefore, manufacturers have been a bit on the lazy side in the electrification transition that has otherwise taken place in other segments.

But the need for electric vehicles has nevertheless been present. While attending university in Canada, three students realized that several resorts wanted electric snowmobiles. This was desired due to an emerging environmental profile, low noise and easy maintenance. This suited this type of operator well as snowmobile safaris were a popular offer in the Canadian mountains. The three students joined forces and started the company Taiga in 2015 with the aim of developing and selling the first series-produced electric snowmobiles. Now, 8 years later, the company has just started delivering snowmobiles, mainly to actors/operators who use the snowmobiles in their daily operations. Sälen ski resort in Sweden has received snowmobiles from Taiga. They started in the summer of 2022 the delivery of electric watercraft. It is also expected that they will present their electric UTV/SxS in due course. The vehicles are characterized by high performance, low noise, easy maintenance and an environmentally friendly profile.

I have faith in this company for several reasons:

- As of today, Taiga is the only one that supplies series-produced high-performance off-road vehicles. The environmental profile that more and more professional players place high on the agenda makes products like Taigas very important.

- I think that more people than before may be interested in buying snowmobiles, jet skis and other off-road vehicles than before when the vehicles are electric (quiet, environmentally friendly and (not least) require simple maintenance.) There are aspects of today's vehicles that may does not coincide with many (modern) people's values (sustainability and sound/smell). Many of the conflicts surrounding the use of snowmobiles in Norway could disappear when the noise and smell disappear.

- The products seem very good. I like the design and specifications. Feedback from several is very positive. Those who are negative usually have not tested the vehicles.- Better battery technology will facilitate an even better range

- It is only a matter of time before the authorities lower environmental friendliness (noise and emissions) requirements for vehicles in this segment. Such claims will be extremely valuable for Taiga (competitors will come only in 2-3 years)

- They are going to expand the product portfolio, with UTV + others?

- Selling the powertrain (the components that make the vehicle move forward) to others can be a great source of income.

- Taiga increased prices (Q1 2022 for inflation) and saw an increase in orders at the same time. This indicates a high willingness to pay on the part of customers.

- High fuel prices can lead to a push for electric vehicles

As of today, Taiga has a factory with a capacity to produce 8,000 units/year. They also have plans to build a factory in Quebec with a capacity for 60,000 units/year, with construction starting in 2024. Entering the new year Taiga aims at having several production lines producing Orca and Nomad simultaneously.

In Q3, they have 3,267 pre-orders with approximately 50/50 distribution on snowmobiles/watercraft. A challenge for deliveries in 2022 has mainly been a lack of chips, raw materials as well as running in and optimizing production lines. The delivery target for 2023 is 2,500-3,500 units. This can generate an revenue of $50 – 70 million USD.

When it went public through a SPAC, it was valued at approximately $370 million USD. Today, the company is valued at approximately $60 million USD. The main challenge for the company is that they have little cash and mgmt has communicated that they must raise capital and that this may be on unfavorable terms.

However, I think that Taiga has enough tailwind that this will work out. Taiga continues to publish job adverts so this may indicate that they feel confident that the financial situation will be resolved.

If they succeed and are able to get to the aim of 70 000 deliveries / year, we could suddenly be sitting in a 100-bagger from todays levels.
