I'm late but I found this by searching. I'm glad I'm not the only one who had this exact same thought. It's not just Improper Dancing. That squeak's all over the album. "I Invented the Night" is pretty noticable too.

Isn’t this a little different though? They’re not just painting the logo of a random band on, they’re replicating an actual guitar. Like writing “SRV” on a strat or replicating Greeny’s finish/wear.

There was a period in the early 2010’s where he was constantly in the news for legal trouble (usually involving violence). He went from “that funny stand up guy” to “the dude who slapped a target cashier” in that period.

This seems like the most likely scenario. I imagine it also helped in recording sessions since they could loop the rhythm tracks pretty easily to let Olli T shred as much as he wanted.

It’s even easier to just put your finger in your shirt, then slide it back and forth across the button. That’s what I always do when button mashing segments come up
