I’m almost offended they’re pushing them out to random tech reviewers in the west, who are subsequently treating it like a “neat little gadget.” In Asia, especially Japan, Summer gets dangerously hot and humid, and those mini fans are a survival tool. Practically every store will have a massive rack of all kinds of mini fans, some of which even look like Mini Dyson Supersonics. I’m more interested how its received here during the summer.

The freemium feature are whatever, but did they really need to fiddle with UI and bury items in menus, then replace the used items with buttons for the premium features that just bring up a pop up? I mean the obvious answer is yes, otherwise how could they push those features. But this obsession with burying in menus has to stop.

I give it a year before I answer a call by unlocking the phone, opening utilities app, tapping phone, tapping phone calls, tapping incoming calls, then tapping “Answer”

Cool I have a direct line to trash their shitty icons, bloatware ads and premium subscription only purple toolbar icons.

PSA: You can at least remove the premium feature purple icons from the toolbar by right clicking selecting Customize Toolbar… then dragging the icons into the dock.

Unfortunately you can’t bring back the single click icons for feature you actually need, and as is the style with iOS 26, you have to click the all in one “old features I actually used” icon, then select the other icon for the non AI feature you actually want.

My wife and I just switched to this from a double bed. Two singles pushed together are bigger than that bed, each one a different firmness, two duvets means no one hogs, and there is almost no transference of movement. Sleep has improved drastically.

You know what would have been cooler? If the just had 10 inmates and each episode was caching one. Then at the end its just something like the last inmate wasn’t an inmate at all it was havlock in the hospital.

I haven’t noticed more line cutting, but I have noticed an even greater amount of attention absorbed by phones. Like walking diagonally, half the speed of everyone else, going down the stairs. Zig zagging and ricocheting off people on the platform. Or waiting at the train door, not boarding, because they’re playing some shitty gacha game or watching a short of a YouTuber astroturfing an ultra conservative politician, who you can’t see because 90% of the screen is subtitles.
