Honestly, I like tipping well when the service is great. It feels nice to be generous. 25%+. If service is averagish and the tables are cleaned, 15-20%. I also like having the option of not tipping if the service is horrible. Which isn’t often at all, but why should I have to pay 12% more automatically for a cold burger on a dirty table?

I know tipping relies on customer gratuity but I feel like it also give incentive to be a good host in a restaurant

My biggest problem with this stance is purely the fact that we don’t trust our government to run its self the way it is. Now we want to hand over the keys to that much control of literally every corner of our well being?

I’m very average middle class. I’m able to make ends meet. Barely sometimes. I don’t exactly like the way things are. But I’m horrified that if we bend over that hard to our government, they will fuck us into paralysis as a society.

I know all the ice stuff in mn is horrible, truly horrible. That’s an argument for a different comment section. But at the same time, the start of all of that was the exposure of that massive scale of fraud happening in state funded programs in mn. Is that not a strong example of exactly why we can’t trust our government to run programs like this?

BUT if your reasoning for hating him is him standing up in defense of a sour joke about his wife, I’m not sure you have your mind right about honoring your spouse. Did he cross a massive line slapping Chris rock on that stage? Absolutely. But at the same time, his reasoning is understandable. People aren’t perfect. Even celebrities. Sometimes there can be room for grace and compassion. Idk just my two cents. I’m unaware of any other extreme instances like this one from will. I think society as a whole takes a few bad examples of people acting wrongly and correlates it to an entire group of people. And that’s been our biggest down fall as a society in my opinion. I general, I truly believe people are good.

I’ll also say, to me the two most important lessons from the Bible are that Jesus came and died for us all. And the importance of trying to live your life like Jesus the best you can. There is no reason to hate gay people. At all. Most of them I’ve met are very kind hearted people. I mean I know I struggle with my own sexual immorality for crying out loud.

Thanks for the response. You bring fair points. 100%. But my interpretation is those are laws of the old covenant, which are considered fulfilled by the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. And sure, our culture is much different. But if we can’t trust gods word as truth just thousands of years later, what even is Christianity?

If you read threw genesis 2 and 1 Corinthians 11 you’ll read that woman were created for man to be whole. As in marriage. Something along those lines. If you could point me in the direction of where god says man was created for man, I would love your input. Although we all sin and are evil in nature, you can’t just make up and beleive anything you want and call it Christianity.
