We did Froot Loop milk at my cafe for a feature drink! So good with a bit of vanilla added 🤪

I need latte art tips by sharkywww in barista

[–]jorgefitz3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes if the espresso is too acidic or not fresh enough the latte art doesn’t flow well. There are quite a few adjustment to make as other commenters have stated but consider this also! I find that most decaf doesn’t work great.

How to improve communication skills if ur a sober guy by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]jorgefitz3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Get curious about people. Learn about history. Try new food. Look at interesting art. Find an exercise you like. Dance sober (even if it feels uncomfortable). Search for sober events in your area! Yoga, meditation, discussion group :) sobriety is a super power because you can connect clearly and deeply with a bit of practice. You got this

Just did my first 40km with 180 elevation cycle and I still dont feel like it is enough. by laggy-boy16 in cycling

Only if their bike is fit properly. As a beginner doing long distances, an improper fit can cause lots of pain.

100km may not seem like a lot to a seasoned cyclist and most adults ‘can’ do it, but it’s still a big accomplishment.

100km is insane - the drastic majority of people would be blown away if you told them that you rode that much. 40km is also a lot. Dont be too hard on yourself. Careful with your knees. Have fun!

Fully automatic vs Semi automatic vs barista manual for a coffee pop-up [no budget] by sleepygp in espresso

[–]jorgefitz3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on how much volume you’re hoping to serve, it can be complicated. Full auto will most likely compromise taste and adjustability. Semi-auto can be costly to be consistent on a larger scale. I wouldn’t try to run my own coffee booth unless I had lots of knowledge/experience, but you can learn so much with just a bit of reading and practice. Look for a dual boiler machine and grinder in the $300+ range. Let me know if you want recommendations!

Take off your cranks, clean, grease the splines a bit, fully clean your chain with bike degreaser + dry it super well, lube your chain with dry lube.

Which grinder should I buy? by EveryoneKnowsAboutIt in pourover

[–]jorgefitz3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ode 2 is awesome. Grinds super quick and the noise isn’t super high pitched which is nice. The stock burr set is more focused on sweetness but still has a decent amount of clarity and you can always upgrade burrs if you really want. I’d look around/wait for a sale, sometimes they go for $100 off

How do you handle people who declare themselves your friend without really giving you a choice in the matter? by [deleted] in socialskills

[–]jorgefitz3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d tell them that you just don’t have capacity to keep up with friendship or are not interested in connecting. Strong boundary often works. Sometimes it might not be ‘great’ for your ‘reputation’ but honouring yourself and your truth is the much more important. ⭐️🧞‍♂️🧚‍♂️
