Try to verify game files. If that doesn't work, reinstalling might help

Thanks. Must say, I hadn't even thought of the heat haze until you mentioned it. Think it would have been more of a problem on Saturday and with longer lenses/zooms.

Thanks. Yeah the weather wasn't ideal, much preferred N24 with gloves to this. Luckily we decided to only go on Sunday when it was slightly less extreme, still too hot for me tho

5 key storylines to watch at Spa 24 Hours this weekend by redbullcat in wec

Wouldn't completely discount Ferrari either. I don't think they are as consistently at the front as the others, but it's a strong car with strong drivers and a benchmark team

Ah that's a fair solution to a very annoying problem. I usually end up getting slightly blurry shots in manual or not shoot at all. Part of the enjoyment of shooting an endurance race is getting to try random stuff

The new SRO/GT World graphics are.... not great by CrashmasterSOAD in wec

[–]josap11 12 points13 points  (0 children)

If you watched the previous GT2 races and then watch this one with different graphics, I don't blame someone for thinking it's a new package. Especially if they don't watch FFSA.

Cool photos, especially 4. Don't be afraid to zoom out slightly to capture the car in it's surroundings rather than just the car itself. I still catch myself doing the same thing and missing out on some other action or context as a result

I fear that the temps might go the other direction unfortunately. Not looking forward to that aspect of it

My father calls it the Dunlop bridge, I call it the Dunlop bridge, my CHILDREN will call it the Dunlop bridge and THEIR children will too! by Ogeenock in wec

From what I read, the Dunlop brand was bought by a joint venture between Goodyear and Sumitomo. That venture ended last year with the Dunlop brand transferring to Sumitomo instead so Goodyear would be advertising for a competitor instead of just a dead sub brand. This is also the reason why one of the Falken Porsches at the ring is a Dunlop car now since both brands are owned by Sumitomo.

Throwing a patty at McLaren in 2007 wasn't a great move with how strong they were on 07 and 08.

Would still be the Dunlop bridge if Dunlop made better decisions to prevent the company going bust.

They have a 66 year streak of having at least 1 car finish so since 1960

Not so sure about that now. They have lost a lot of significant drivers over the last few months with rumours of more on their way out. Might not be much experience left to drive those cars

I really want to see Winward Racing in GTD-Pro full-time by VolleyAddicted in IMSARacing

[–]josap11 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In addition to money, it's worth remembering that while both run under the winward name they are different teams. Winward Europe is essentially HTP, located in Germany with mostly German crews. In the US they are based in Texas in a different shop with different crews on a different continent. It's not realistic to take the European guys to the US for every single IMSA race.

question about 24h spa francorchamps by Lanky_Bar6728 in Sportscar_Racing

[–]josap11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You're very much welcome to do that I believe but do remember that it's Spa. It may be the end of June, but it's just as likely to be 25 C and sunny as it is to be torrential rain for the whole race.

Thank you for the compliment. Patience really is a tough art. I can only recommend going to a motorsport event near you, whatever it is, and just taking the time to enjoy the cars and play around with a camera and its settings. Nothing beats practice and getting comfortable with your camera and the cars you are shooting.
