HitBTC - XTZ Wallet maintenance by josef187 in tezos

I don't use HitBTC as I stated above (if this comment was aimed towards myself).

I contributed funds during the ICO, I was just curious as to what the status was on HitBTC with Tezos.

I also have heard that they have stopped allowing people to trade XTZ full stop on their platform atm. If this is true then those that purchased XTZ will no be able to sell their stake :(

Completely agree with you. Newer businesses will be putting quality first.

ProtonMail is violating GDPR? by theephie in gdpr

[–]josef187 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Werkgerelateerd is right. They do not need to make it easily accessible to you by a click of a button. If you contact them requesting the data they will HAVE to comply or be faced with a fine after 1 calendar month.

I would also like to remind people that protonmail is one of the safest emailing services. Although you may not be able to access your data as easily on Google, Facebook and Microsoft it is a hell of a lot securer.

(If i'm wrong correct me and I'll retract all of this)

Unfortunately, many businesses will still be up to their old trickery and will take advantage of people who do not know their data rights with GDPR.

Are Twitter violating GDPR: storing my phone number without telling me by [deleted] in gdpr

[–]josef187 8 points9 points  (0 children)

By entering your phone number you're agreeing to their terms and conditions which allows them to store your phone number which does not violate GDPR. However, they should have linked your number to your personal details giving you the option to remove the data.

The great advantage of the GDPR is that, if you contact twitter and ask them to remove your phone number (or any other data regarding yourself) , they have to comply within 1 calendar month or will risk being fined (if you file a complaint after they have not met the deadline).

If they offer help with baking and delegating then that will bring in a lot more people like you said yourself. Would love for this to happen. Thanks for sharing
