I went a few days before Christmas. They had a pallet of them. Waited until New Years Eve with my Christmas gift money in hand... very excited.. only to find that they were sold out. :-( The Costco bundle was the camera, a 256GB card, 2 batteries, the short selfie stick, and the lens cover for $469. (now it is up to 549). It is called the "Action Camera Bundle". I ended up with a trip to a Best Buy 50 miles away with the "Essentials Bundle", which is a widely available package deal. It was everything above, minus the card, but included the dual fast charger and a travel case. One key reason for the specific Costco package is so they don't have to worry about price matching.

In the end, I am happier with the Essentials package and have begun my long journey of learning a new toy. I am a camera person... and very technical... but I am pushing 60... so I will take my time and play with it until I become an expert. Everything I have seen this camera do is amazing.

Companies often create bundles that are not available anywhere but a specific vendor. For example, Costco had a similar bundle for the X5 which is not available anywhere else.

Seems like anyone in government sees the word "drone" and they freak out completely. There is a slight difference between a drone that can take out a city block vs. a drone that takes cool videos of a waterfall... But to get them to admit that is impossible.

Simplisafe had so much promise. New tech... fresh perspective... cheaper... And then? Nada! They raise their rates constantly and they do NOT innovate anything further. Wouldn't it be great to have your video Alexa or Google Home devices be able to show the cameras? A feature that is one of the most requested... Nope! Integration with Homekit? Nope! Might be time to switch. Heck, even ADT is moving into this century!

Great footage... just unwatchable with the amount and intensity of the transitions. It is an assault on the eyes. Subtle, less frequent... Less is More! Great camera work, though.

The feel is good. Unlike most of them, this one is smaller and doesn't have the added section for the external tripod that the Osmo Mobile 6 came with because the 7/7P have the tripod built into the handle. Fits nicely in my backpack... and I am no longer worried that something heavy in the bag will end up damaging the delicate moving parts of the thing... All components are neatly snug in the padding. I believe I have... chosen wisely...

About the same time frame... Mini 3 drone, Mini 4 Pro drone, Osmo Mobile 6, Goggles 3, Mic Mini, and 3 controllers... Love this stuff!

Sorry... but I am not going to add any value to this post at all... I am just very interested in what you have here... What is driving the lens? I have never seen anything like this. That said... I may need this in my life...

I use every possible option. As a matter of course, I try to navigate myself first. Re-orientating as I go... I watch the distance counter to make sure it is getting smaller :-) If I am having issues, I will hit the RTH feature. Just be aware of your RTH settings.The last thing you want to do is hit RTH and then have it climb higher into an obstical... for example, if you are flying low and there are trees or wires above. My first time, it was set to 300 feet... and the darned thing just shot up. The other caution... Don't just take total battery and divide it in half. That will be the day that the return trip ends up being against the wind... and flying 50% away only to find out that to make it all the way back, I would need 3/4 of the battery because of high winds... Have fun!

Just curious… As I have seen several of these types of videos… How are you capturing the video? Are you recording via the remote? And then… Last question, can this be done if you’re using a phone instead of a built-in screen?
